Ahh more lovely entries. Best of luck!! I'm glad that I don't have to choose who makes it to the final few.
Jennie that Jacket with the ears is just too cute.

Lisa
Gemma,
Super bears!! I remember admiring Lottie when you posted her in 'showcase', she's adorable. Good luck with both your entries.
Regards
Lisa
Awesome bears Maria and so original too. Thank goodness you're not in the beginners category. :P
Good luck.

Lisa
Yes, the claws are made out of Fimo. It's fun stuff to play with don't ya think? It takes me back to my plasticine modelling days as a kid.
I have no idea about the proportions thing, what are the correct proportions for a teddy bear anyhow?

Lisa
I've joined too.
I too love Marmite's snout, it makes him special.
OK, after much dithering here is my entry, she's called Kallisto. I had great fun making her and even if she doesn't get selected I'm still quite proud of her.

Lisa
Perrido is gorgeous, I just love the red nose.
Chloe, Marmite is just fabulous!! You are so clever, I feel sure that he will be selected for the final few. Best of luck, though I'm quite sure that you won't need it.
I too have entered the BBAA in the beginners category, gulp. I don't know what I was thinking. I've been too chicken to post any piccies in case anybody thought I was crazy to enter since it's only my 4th ever creation.
Catherine, Leo is beautiful too. He has such a sweet face. I do hope you get chosen too. Will you come over for the fair itself?
Fingers and paws crossed for everybodies entries.
Regards
Lisa
Congratulations, you've sold your first creation!! That's so great.
So I guess that BBAA wouldn't let you enter your sloth since you're making a bear for them, or is this in addition to the sloth? The best of luck whatever. :D

Lisa
So many really wonderful bears have been posted here now, sorry I haven't had time to comment on them all individually. They are all fab!!
My poor bear has been sitting patiently with no face for over a month and a half! My mum got sick and then had to go in to hospital for surgery and I didn't feel up to finishing him off back then. But all is well now and she's recovering nicely thank goodness.
So here he is at last, with just a few days to spare till the end of the challenge. I hope that you all like him.

Lisa

Best regards
Lisa
Oooh I'm loving all these clown bears. They are so different but all so great.
My own bear is coming along slowly, today I'm jointing and stuffing.... at last! Still on target for the end of September finish date, lol! I can't wait to get to do the face and most particularly the accessories.
Keep these lovely bears a comin'.
Regards
Lisa
Ahhhh, your work is just outstanding. I so wish that I could afford to purchase one of these tigers, they are exquisite.
Best regards
Lisa
My understanding is that it can be a single creation or a group together but I really don't know if it HAS to be a bear/s. The wording seems to indicate bears only and in fact looking over the forms there doesn't appear to a category for 'other friends' at all. I would definately clarify that bit before posting off your entry form.
Btw, I LOVE your sloth, he has great character and is certainly worth entering into the competition if the rules allow it.

Lisa
Thank you so much Krista, Shelli & Tami. It means a lot to hear postive comments from such a wonderful group of artists.
I used Copic markers to shade the face and the whiskers were kindly donated by a pony named Mij.

Lisa
Thanks Ruth!! I bought the plush from Hugglets at the beginning of the year, once I'd stroked it I just knew I'd have to create something with it.
Best regards
Lisa
Thank you so much Marion & Bronwen for the lovely comments. Yes she is jointed, nut an bolt joints for the legs & tail and a wobble joint for the head.

Lisa
Hi all,
I'd like to introduce you to Snophie, the inquisitive snow leopard cub. She's my first attempt at a feline shape and was great fun to make. The plush synthetic used is so wonderfully soft to the touch, I could cuddle her all day long. She has wired legs/body/tail to make her poseable and hand sculpted eye sockets, nose and paw pads. I do hope that you like her.
Best regards
Lisa
Hi there,
I'm going, wild horses wouldn't keep me away! I attended the one at the beginning of the year (my first ever bear fair) and loved it soooo much. If you still have a ticket or two then I be really happy to have it/them.
Best regards
Lisa
Kathy, wonderful clown bear! Ahh, for some reason Smokey Robinson's song 'The Tears of a Clown' has just popped into my head.
Cat, ooooh, your fishie is awesome!! Is he/she a special order for somebody?
Regards
Lisa
P.S. I started work on my clown bear today, yay!
Wendy,
Gordie is awesome, love him to bits!!
I'm gonna be starting my bear next week, yay! Assuming the kids allow me a little bit of breathing (bearmaking) space of course.
Regards
Lisa
Sooooo adorable! An amazing bear, I wish that he could be mine.
Best regards
