I think airbrushing is a great way to get a blended look.  I find that with regular paintbrushes paint can be put on too thick.  If you haven't used an airbrush, practice a lot before actually doing it on your bear. I read as a tip in another thread once that a great way to practice is on bears and animals you can buy cheap at a thrift store. I think this was a great tip.
Hope we get to see the bear once he is done! Have fun making him!

I agree with Raewyn---the fun part is finding it! I have been making bears and dogs for just a little over a year now. I don't know if I have a style yet but I am having lots of fun designing different bears, Experimenting with different techniques and always striving to make whatever I am currently working on better than the one before.
You have made a great start with your bear making. I love the pink fur on your avatar bear. Keep up the good work and most of all HAVE FUN!

Free lodging and free food?!?! This show sounds amazing! I know absolutly nothing about it except for what you have posted here. But from what I have read here it sounds like a great show to do. So I really really hope I am accepted.
A parade and BBQ sounds like soo much fun too! My fingers AND toes are crossed in hopes I am able to do this show!!!

Thanks for posting the contact info! I e-mailed them last night regarding slaes tables. I attatched two photos of my work in case they wanted to see my work. I got an e-mail back today saying I saved a step by sending the photos as the comittee needs to see them. She said I should have an answer within a week. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be accepted. I have no idea how much the tables are-hopefully not totally out of my price range.  But I imagine this is a great show.

Thanks everyone! I really didn't know if I should sell all three together or seperate the Border collie from the sheep. I figured I would try them as a set first and if they didn't go I would try them seperately.

I have just listed this three piece set on ebay. I have been working on this for over two months and have finally finished it! It was a Major project for me. It includes Border collie McRuff and two sheep--mother sheep Ewe-phoria and her baby Baa-sil and their little story.

I'll join in again too. I did the last swap and really enjoyed it. The lovely bear I recieved is my only artist bear so would love getting another. It was soo much fun creating something special for my swap partner too.
I'd be content with leaving everything open as well this time.
I would suggest keeping the rule that whatever you swap must be a new creation made specifically for the swap and not something you have had sitting around.
An August deadline would be ok by me too.
