Oh, he has so much character! I absolutely love him!!
Fantastic designs! Love them both
I love him!
Thank you so much everyone for your comments, it's really appreciated
Thank you so much everyone! Your comments are very encouraging Michelle, no I don't treat the fabric beforehand, I just draw directly onto the fabric. I do seal the pencilwork afterwards with a matte spray sealer.
Thanks so much everyone for your comments, and especially Shane! I'm so glad you like them
Nina, I use tibetan lambswool for the hair, I needlefelt it on. I hope you give dollmaking a go, it's a lot of fun!
Hope no-one minds me showing off my latest cloth doll making efforts. All are made with calico fabric, I use watercolour pencils and pigma pens to draw the faces (and sometimes the clothes too as you can see). I really enjoy making these dolls and it's good to have a break off bears every now and then
Thank you Katy
Thanks so much everyone:) Brenda, great idea!
Thanks so much everyone for your comments! I'm glad you like them Julia, I've never heard of Barbapapa before, yes they are quite similar aren't they! sort of jellybean type critters lol:)
Hi everyone, let me introduce you to my latest creations "Tubby Tots"! I'm not sure what they are, but they are very cute
They are 1.5 inches tall and now available in my Etsy shop.
Thank you both Julia, I've PMd you
Hi everyone,
I have a new miniature cat available! His name is Shadow. He measures 2.5 x 1.75 inches and is now available in my Etsy shop:
He's lovely, such a beautiful expression
Hi Ariane,
This is something I've only ever done once before too and I used the ultrasuede and glue method.

Hi Ariane,
I have only ever done an open mouth once. I literally just sewed on a third ear onto his chin with a little bit of ultrasuede for his tongue, it worked ok.

Thanks so much Katy and Brenda No, she didn't last too long at all. I'm not making many bears lately so when I do they tend to get snapped up quite quickly.
Thank you both for your comments! Julia, I haven't forgotten about the pink Keiko You liked the pastel pink colour didn't you?
The noses I do are very simple. They are just handstitched in cotton thread and then I paint on several coats of glossy varnish
Hi everyone, I have just listed a new mini bear on Etsy. Her name is "Penny" and she stands at just 2 inches tall. I hope you like her :)
Hi Debby, I bought your book too when I first got into making miniature bears and it was a huge inspiration for me!
Thanks so much Lynne
No problems Julia! I'll let you know if I make a pink one. I've nearly finished my commission orders so I'll be getting back to making bears for Etsy and Ebay soon.
Good luck with your search! I had a dark haired one as a child but I sold her on ebay about 8 years ago (regret it now of course!) I have a small collection of cabbage patch dolls but I'm interested to get a few My Childs too.
Oh thank you so much Julia Keiko never sold so I ended up donating him to a Haiti charity - he now has a loving home in the US
