Heather,first of all big hugs and congratulations:D   ,that's so wonderful !Way to go!!:D :DI quit about 17 years ago after trying many times.I have seen members of my family die of smoking related illnesses and if you are a non smoker,it's very hard to tolerate the smell.We get out taxes done in an office that reeks of smoke and we have to put our papers away in a bag when they come back.
Oh,you wanted reasons:

1) Your health
2)The smell
3)Your teeth
4)Your family
5)Your friends
I'll leave it there for others to leave more.Keep up the fight!When you feel the urge,pick up a bear or post on TT.Oh,I know,try needle felting instead of a ciggarette.That might work

Thanks Heather,missed you too My calf is on the mend but I'm still hobbling.My Pc is in the basement and it's nice and cool in the summer and  we use a wood stove that is located in the basement during winter months.We are in between so it's a bit damp and chilly here right now.We will be using the stove soon I suspect Since I am always cold,I was minding the basement as my calf and foot seemed to have ice water running through it no matter where I was in the house.Well must get busy,we are supposed to prepare for Ophelia as we lost power for almost a week after Hurricane Juan.

Hi,just popping in to say it looks like needlepunch,we sell it in the fabric/craft store but I think you can get it at Walmart.It's used for quilting and wall hangings.

Thanks also to Laura and Sue Ann,I did look a bit and printed a few pages out but I'll definitely check into it further.I went for blood tests this morning to rule other things out and see my doctor again in two weeks but I get the impression it's going to be a battle to diagnose and treat.Funny though Sue Ann,I have thought I had arthritis since I was a young child but that doesn't cover the nausea,dizziness,headaches etc.

Oh Laura,I've been thinking about making a schedule for myself also,I think I'll try yours Then of course if I get called to teach,that ends that but I'll try.Oh and when my leg heals and I get back to working two nights and every saturday,well,blown again but for the days I am home ,I'll try.

  I'm feeling really unwell lately and thinking I might have to drop my fabric store job to try and cope.My doctor finally listened yesterday and she mentioned Fibromyalgia so I've been trying to find out what that's all about.

Anyway,I'm going to try and follow a set schedule like you Laura and we can let each other know how it goes. (Hope I don't have egg on my face and have to lie about how well I'm doing )

Oh,Nancy,how awful but yet wondrous all at once.I'm just catching up and read the post from start to finish,of course I have your whole family in my prayers,especially Stephanie and Matthew.The other three children must be missing their mom something awful,so wonderful that you can be with them.I'm pleased to see that Stephanie is a bit stronger and hope all our prayers speed her recovery along.Hugs and heartfelt blessings to you all.

I think there was a post about growlers that said they do sound like cows or sheep bleating and I may be wrong but I think they all do.I thought it was only me that didn't think it sounded like a bear.

Boy,it's nice to see that we all fit in the same boat(hope we don't sink,yikes).I'm with you all the way Daphne,I think I suffer from ADD also and can get pulled away so easily,sigh,I often wonder how I would function on one of those natural " focus " pills they offer but with all my allergies,I'm afraid to try.Well anyway,off to bed,more bears and housework tomorrow if I can get around better. If not,the heck with the house,I'll just sew bears on the couch again.

Oh Deb,so sweet of you to think of me,hugs!! I am trying to follow doctors orders for my pesky old ruptured calf muscle and rest it.My computers down stairs so I can only hobble down when no one's looking Hmm..strange they don't get upset while I'm limping around making supper and such .I am starting to feel better and my calf is almost back to regular size again.I see the doctor tomorrow so hopefully I can get back to real life soon.I have managed to almost finish five bears while on the couch with leg up though,hah,what a feat!I find the final finishing the hardest to do(eyes,ears,joints,face) always seems to take me forever.
Well,I know I'll never catch up on posts so I hope everyone is well and I didn't miss too much.Schools back in so I am prepared to be called in at any time and then my 14 hour days start again as i go from school to my part-time job on at least three days a week.
