Samantha - Thanks for noticing... it took me long enough... The new picture :photo: was taken by mum Tuesday evening about 11:00 pm. Finally, we got decent pictures of ourselves. What took the longest was getting a shot of both of us. We didn't have any help, so we had to use the timer and the autofocus. Usually one of us was in focus and the other one out of focus. I figured out that if mum was in place and the camera focused on her, then I could slide into the picture and both of us would be in focus.
Where is everyone getting this movie???? I am big fan of Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter! (Gee, like that isn't obvious  )
I did get the bath tub drain cleaned out, in case anyone was interested... what a mess... YUCK!
She is a cutie! And her trunk is pointing up!!! Trunks that point up mean good luck! Besides I prefer that elephants' trunks point up.
Box her up and send her my way would you????
A handsome little fellow... Someone has been busy!
He is a sweetie!
Absolutely love him!
Definately from the cast of CATS!
She is something... Wonderful!
well let's see...
I spent this day off from work at grandma's in Chicago cleaning up her yard. Big brush piles that needed to be sredded and then my sister and famliy will burn it in their fire pit.
I drove most of the way home, but my leg started to cramp up, because I can't get the driver's seat in the Van to slide back far enough. Traded with mom and I dozed off as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot. I must have been more tired than I thought.
MaeLynn is having a sleep over with Grammie.
I just finished my bath and realized that now is the time to snake out the drain...
Not looking forward to that in the morning... YUCK! Anyone wanna come over and help????
Also a new school quarter starts on Monday and that means tons of work to be done this weekend.
Judi - hope that you get your papers and everything that you need for your trip, it sounds like fun.

I found those on dickblick.com. I might try those next.
I hadn't thought about the dye rubbing off. It is a steam set dye. I'll just have to see how it works out for me.
What a sweet little bear. I love his chubby tummy!
I think he looks great! He is a sweet little bear.
I think that viscose is a very difficult to use fabric. You have done a great job!!!
I minis for about a year... I couldn't take it anymore... My eye would only focus to about 24" in front of my face.
I still have a few floating around the house. MaeLynn plays with them once in awhile.
Daphne -
Looking forward to seeing you again.
Cats are indeed interesting creatures.
The little female that I had for years would bring us mice all the time. She would also hunt box elder bugs, YUCK!
Well let's I am making progress...
I bought my airbrush, am using mum's old compressor, and I did get my dyes...
so far so good, I have been happy with the results I got from airbrushing the dye for panda patches, I just touch them up with a marker.
I even managed to get my files set up finally. Now I can just drop the paperwork into the correct file. Hopefully, I can keep this system in place from year to year and make adjustments as needed.
I also managed to get a better picture of me posted for the avatar roll-over.
Awe Daphne you can do both shows.
Yeah there is no way that I would drive to any of those shows other than Schaumburg.
We drove the 1st year to Expo... 2 days spent sitting in a van! Yuck....
Well Judi
Mom and I will be there. It will be so nice to finally meet The Airbrush Queen in person. Stopp by the booth and say hi!
I have to go buy some TT buttons and T-shirts.
Let's see mum and I will be there and then we will be in Hunt Valley... What were we thinking????
Judi - those two are adorable. I miss my two guys, but can have MaeLynn getting sick from them either.
Bobbi has done it again. By the by, did anyone catch the wonderful article that she wrote in TB&F????
I would make an egg shaped pattern piece. Then cut out 2 and sew together adding arms and legs. Leave a side or bottom open for turning.
Or you can leave the opening in the bac, but I would make a second copy of the egg shapped pattern piece and slipt it down the middle, just remember to add your seam allowance. If you do it this way then you can sew the arms and legs into the seams with the machine.

Lemonade in Schuamburg will be $50/gal.
We surely can think of something to offer people to join us.
Treasure Hunt? Teddy Bear Trivia Quiz? Door Prizes (I'll give something)?
Shoot I'd even be willing to teach a class or offer tip on Photographing your teddy bears. I have had to learn that over the years.
Something...
Well I am all for having a party in Schaumburg.
Good Luck with the move.
A friend of mine just moved to west MA from Las Vegas.
That will be quite a trip. Travel safe.
Hey All -
I sure that our expert on airbrushing has some advice, but I want to hear from everyone.
Has anyone ever airbrushed with fabric dyes? I am using Jacquard Slik Dyes to airbrush with and I think I am happy with the results it just takes a few layers to build up the colours. Of course the only colour that I have use so far is black and I know from dying fabrics that black takes 2~3 times as much dye and time to achieve the correct colour. Just wondering what anyone else's thought or comments are.
I keep a small supply of thread on hand to match the different colours that I use.
I use a dogwood coloured thread on most of my pieces. There are some that I need to use a different colour. I have yellow, blue, black, red, green, pink, several shades of brown to rust, and white. That covers most of the mohair colours that I use. But even at that I try to keep only 1 ~ 2 spools on hand of each colour. Dogwood is the colour I use the most. For hand sewning threads I keep dogwood, white, and black on hand that covers everything for me. Just be sure that your stitches are tight and not loose.
