These bears where intended for the "Be My Valentine" online show with TBACA ... but I didn't make the photo deadline. So I posted them to my website last night and they all found homes very quickly.
I have a large supply of colorful ultrasuede and leather and I decided that a good use for all of those beautiful pelts would be flowers and garlands for my mink teddies and other animals .... because they love colors too!
I made 3 OOAK teddies. To see all 3 please go to my website :

What a sweetheart! I am always amazed that your creations are so small.
I know how hard it is to work that small using real fur

I created this very special puppy from cross cut mink. It's hard to find cross mink and the mink jacket that I found was mostly black with white hairs sprinkled throughout so I added large areas of white on the dog.
I gave this puppy beautiful blue eyes that I painted myself.
The puppy was named "Domino" by its new owner.
Domino is definitely a One Of A Kind!
There are more photos of Domino on my website (on my "Available for Adoption" page).
Thanks for looking!

Hi everyone!
I don't post here on TT as often as I would like because I'm so busy making teddies. I'm just trying to keep ahead of my monthly bills. My husband's business has slowed due to this poor economy which means that my little teddies have to take up the slack... which does not leave me much time to enjoy any extra computer time to keep in touch with my Teddy Talk friends. I'm sewing 7 days a week!
Some of you may remember that Kellisa was in the Solvay Scholarship contest a couple of years ago, so many of you voted for her then that I am asking for you to vote for her again this year:
My 22 year old daughter, Kellisa, is currently a senior at California State University in Long Beach. She plans on going on to earn a Masters Degree. Kellisa has already won a $2,500 scholarship from Solvay Pharmacuticals along with 40 other College/University students with Cystic Fibrosis and now they are all competing for a $18,000 scholarship. The student with the most votes wins!
You can see Kellisa's winning essay and artistic presentation .... and also vote for her .... if you go to:
www.SolvayCaresScholarship.com
and click on the name "Kellisa M."
Everyone is allowed one vote per email address.
Everyone is also allowed one vote per phone number (if you are in the USA):
Please call the toll-free number 1-888-305-9808 and vote for #25 (that's Kellisa's assigned number)
or you can text your vote: "Vote 25" to 30364
So if you have more than one email address and more than one phone number you could actually vote for Kellisa several times and she would appreciate that.
I will also be updating my website with a page about Kellisa during this contest.
Please vote for Kellisa. You can vote now through Oct 21, 2010
Thanks so much!

I love your teddies and their charming personalities.

I totally agree about the Fiskars scissors, they are the best!
And I'm going to look for that Ultra Thimble that Linda shared.
But the one tool that I could not be without are the scissors that I sculpt my bears faces with, my bears are small so the scissors have to be small with very pointed ends to get into tiny areas. I found that eyebrow or mustache scissors were perfect for that task, so I have several in different sizes and shapes.

This was a special request by one of my collectors to celebrate her Anniversary. My collector was delighted with the results. Now she has requested 3 puppies to represent her children.
To see more photos of this happy pair, here is the link to their page on my website:

Thanks everyone for your nice comments...as always they are very much appreciated
Well, I can't take credit for the Lottery idea. Tammy (Beckoning Bears) introduced me to the idea; then when I asked my collectors for feedback on the idea they made me aware that Michele Lamb does Lottery adoptions on her website. And several of my collectors had tried it and felt that it was a very fair sales method.
So far, so good with my first lottery. There is enough interest to make it fun. It is extra time and work for me but it is worth it to show my wonderful collectors that I am listening to their opinions.
