Well Krista: I was curious on which one you chose and found you can do both!! That is great new for I think both are super-duper!! So no more agonizing than. Have some chocolate, relax and enter them both.

I'm with Danni. I'd be so freaked out that somebody could really look inside. I could not go...Amazing they would put it out in the open like that...Oh wait, do you think candid camera is lurking about? No, on second thought, I think its just a "Houston thing".
Thanks for the great picture.

Hello Teddy Bear Friends: On Thanksgiving, it was slow at work so I put up my ostrich feather Christmas tree for I can't have it at home because of three sneaky kitties. So I have it at work. Underneath it are all my mini teddy bears I have made over the years. I thought some of you would like to see them.

Marion: your panda is cute. I too love the belly button. what fun you must have had making him.

Forgive me here, but why can't you enter both? I am a hobbist and don't do competitions or shows so I don't know teddy bear show/competition etiquette. But if there is nothing wrong with putting two in the mix than I vote for both. If you really had to choose, I would put in the polar bear.
Best of Luck
Michelle
I am so glad you all like this. I laughed until I cried too for it was sooo funny.

Oh Jennie, I found the pattern book for you. Denis Shaw has a pattern for a polar bear in it. the book is called "American Teddy Bear Artists Pattern Book" by Linda Mullins. I think you can get some super ideas in there right down to those wonderful paw pads....
Really, you bear is great. It shows your style which is so important. I love the eyes.
And Judi: your bear is just perfection. It is so wonderful...the details are phenomenal!!

Mary: I just love your pictures of your bears...I admire your little one...

Jennie: Your bear it cute. I like him. If you want more of a realistic bear, I say study pictures and begin to sketch them out. Cut patterns pieces that fit what the shapes of a real bear would be. Like they have flatter chins, longer noses, wider heads. Also, look at the areas where there is muscle. That is where you want to body sculpt. Though I am not an expert, I did take a class by Dennis Shaw. He is known for his realistic bears. So what you are seeing is the bear I made from his class. I think he has a pattern in one of the teddy bear books that may be helpful. I would have to do some digging to find it.
