Nice to see you back, Krista! And congratulations on your Golden Teddy nomination!
Thanks for the comments - so nice to hear!
Ariane, yes, they do come off the base - I have put straight pins through the base to hold them so it is easy to lift them off and put them back on. I have no idea what "monk theme song" is???? (so obviously it isn't a reference! )
I showed the post to my husband last night and he commented on how it was a new challenge for me. I new level to try to reach.
My only response to that was "no way they are tiny with that much detail. That will take years and years to develope."
His response to that was call her and say " Teach me Obie One!" *laugh*
Too funny, Amber! It has taken years and years ! - I've been at this since 1987!
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments!
I LOVE Bear Pile. My creations have been selling really well there and I am using it more than ebay now that ebay has upped their final value fee to 9%.
Amber, once you are signed up you get a notice a few days before your fee is due to be paid each month. If you don't pay it then your page is no longer visible to the public - works great if you know you are going to be away for most of a month then you just don't pay that month and when you get back just go to the Bear Pile web site and make the PayPal payment and your page is up again - everything is still there so you don't have to reload it all.
Wow, you guys really make me feel good! Thanks! I was pleased with how this set turned out but I am thrilled with the comments I've been getting on it!
This special set comprises three animals - a giraffe, a lion, and an elephant, on a leaf covered wooden base. The giraffe is 3.75" tall, the lion 2.25" sitting, and the elephant 3" sitting. All are fully jointed.
I just posted this little guy on Bear Pile. He is 2.5 inches tall, fully jointed, black bear eyes with white embroidered accents, a silk ribbon around his neck, and an irresistable pleading expression on his wee face.
Big congratulations to all the Golden Teddy nominees! Wonderful work! Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

Well, I love doing the faces, like so many others, and believe it or not I really like sewing in the foot pads - must because I know then that I am nearly done! (oh, and they are mini so don't take too long, LOL!) But I think my favourite part, although sometimes most frustrating if I have to do it 20 or 30 times to get the right one, is taking their pictures at the end! That is when I am really able to tell how the bear turned out!
Lenora that is so awful - sending you prayers, hugs, and positive vibes. I hope you get good news soon.
Wow, is he every adorable, Brenda!
Might he be made of rayon art silk? That is softer than mohair and kind of shiny usually. I've never come across one just like him so really can't tell you anything. He sure is in excellent shape. Great find!
I posted these two girls on Bear Pile last night - Yessica sold almost instantly but Sophia is still available. They are 4 .5 and 4.25 inches tall, fully jointed and made in anime style. Yessica has a hand crocheted dress and Sophia has a lace dress.
Yippee! My lost parcel arrived in England - it got held up in customs. What a relief! Hope everyone else's missing and slow packages arrive safely too!
Wow, that is so exciting, Debora! What delightful looking lovely girls! Congratulations to you all, and I am sure all the stress you've been through will be well worth it! Happy Easter!
Well, you guys are making me feel a lot better and a little more hopeful! I just feel that small packet air is the ONLY way I can send these little bears and it doesn't have tracking. It costs $8.23 to go to England that way and the next step up which is surface parcel but does have tracking is $34.85 and then Express post is $63 and Priority is $80! No one is going to pay that kind of price on a tiny miniature that they only paid $100 for! Maybe I am going to have stick to selling within Canada and the US. It's just that I have NEVER had a problem sending to Britain before and usually found they got there way faster than going to the States even!
Good news is that Canada Post finally decided to just pay me the insurance on the other lost parcel without making me jump through hoops so at least I will only be dealing with one if it is lost! (and then of course my husband reminded me that today was April Fools day and said I should have asked them if it was an April Fools joke when they just up and said they would pay me! )
Congratulations, Chrissie!
I sent a bear to England 2 1/2 weeks ago by airmail and it still hasn't arrived - usually it takes less than a week. I've heard they have some problems there with British Airways???, so wondered if that might account for delays. Has anyone else had an problems????
I am getting a bit upset as I had a parcel to the States go missing 6 months ago and it never did turn up. STILL fighting with Canada Post over the insurance on that one so I would hate to have start again on another one! I am kind of reluctant to list any more bears for sale now - it is SO discouraging when this happens!
Nancy your dolls are just incredible! No wonder you've switched - although I did love your bears too! I too think a wee teddy with your dolls every so often would be a great idea!
This little bunny is 4" tall, made of sparse mohair, fully jointed, face shading, embroidered eye accents, and a silk ribbon bow. It is for my daughter for Easter.
I've never heard of it Louise - can you post a link? I tried to google it but it seems there are a LOT of things called webstore!
Little Mikie is 3 1/4" tall (he'd be a bit taller but he has short stubby legs - and BIG feet!). He is made of beige long pile vintage fabric, fully jointed, polyfil stuffed, ultrasuede foot pads, black bead eyes with white embroidered accents, stitched nose, mouth, claws, and eyebrows, face shading.
"Moodie Blu" is a miniature bear, 3 1/2" tall, made of two shades of blue long pile vintage fabric. (main colour looks washed out to grey but it is blue). Fully jointed, black bead eyes with white embroidered accents, ultrasuede footpads, stitched nose, mouth, claws, and eyebrows, face shading, and a pale blue organza ribbon around the neck.
Thanks so much for all the positive comments!

hope Everybunny and Somebunny got adopted together, because we all know Everybunny needs Somebunny (sorry, terrible joke, but I'm not well!)
Hee hee, Katy! Now I need to do another one - a set with Everybunny and Somebunny clining to each other! This could go on and on!
Thanks for all the lovely comments, everyone!
