I leave the neck OPEN while I am stitching the nose so I can add more stuffing and re-adjust the stuffing.  It always seems to shift while I am stitching... so now I can re-center the nose!

Hmm ... may have to give that a whirl!

I now use Donna's stuffing stick to stuff my noses... HUGE difference for me!

Erika,

YES, by ALL means, invest in one of these.  I was thinking as I plunked down my $ ... "Can this be as helpful as they say?"  The answer is YES!

Deb

Very nice Lisa!

I know this is a cuss word with some of you ... but have to ask the question ... anyone use Dreamweaver and like it?

P.S.  Shelli I'm up to Lesson 3, Part 1 at www.how-to-build-websites.com!

Deb

Congratulations Sonya ... Wabbit is wonderful!

HOW TO BUILD WEBSITES... a series of lessons... might be of assistance.  I'm reading it now, myself!

Bless you for posting this link!

I see it as a personal failing of mine.  It bugs the crap out of me.

Nonsense ... you just accept, in advance, that you will need to replace the carpet and some of the woodwork!

He's adorable Eileen!  I just love love love my doggies.  Nothing like getting that unconditional love ... if it is from a doggie!

Deb, I like the way you do it though it sounds a bit tricky.

It is, but I had good results.  Nicer, I thought than just sewn in straight line.  Experimenting is the way to go!

From the post on bear swap:

I have read this entire post twice and I would love to do another swap , but I just can't right now. i have that eye surgery next week and I can't promise I'll be sewing til I get that all straightened out.  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry
Maybe next time. I really enjoyed that last one, I am really jealous cause I want to do it.

Kathy is having eye surgery on February 1st for a condition (of the cornea) that causes a deformity in the cornea that progressively worsens.  Corneal implants  are supposed to improve vision and stop the progression of the disease.

I forgot the name of the exact disease.

A friend emailed this to me, and I'm soooo glad she did!  Enjoy!

I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all
could use more calm in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on
a Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace.

Dr. Phil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace was to finish all the
things you have started. So I looked around my house to see  things I
started and hadn't finished; and before leaving the house this morning I
finished a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of
Baileys, a bottle of Kahlua, a package of Oreos, the remainder of both
Prozac and Valium prescriptions, the rest of the cheesecake, some Saltines,
Doritos and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

Deb

I've tried it.  It's fast ... but you need to be sure you won't want to move it.  I sewed part right into the gusset, gave it a bend, and sewed the rest into a dart in the top of the bear's head ... instead of straight on the side head.

Deb

Never have tried his method.  Have the book though, and have it on my list of things to try.

Kelly ~

They're treating at Strong.  Not sure why they didn't choose Arnot's center; it's excellent.  Family I guess in Rochester area ~ maybe that's it.  He'll easily miss the balance of the year of school.

Thanks all; Joe's dad is a good man and a good friend.  Actually, the kid took a "lucky" spill off a stage at school and hurt his back.  It swelled up and an area (a membrane sac) filled with fluid.  It was drained twice, then doctors decided to investigate further.  Otherwise, who knows when they would have discovered it.  Thankfully we're not always in control!

Joe is the son of a man I work with.  He's a freshman in high school and was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer.  Please remember him in your prayers ...

Deb

My daughter had a friend who struggled with reading comprehension.  Cheers to you Scott for not letting it stop you from communicating in written form.  This young man has suffered many disappointments and setbacks because of his insecurities, etc.  Very sad.

Judi, wonderful note from your Dad!

Deb

Erika ~ I'm still laughing!  Glad you joined TT.  I am packing for Ohio to go shopping w/ you!

Deb

Hmm ... isn't this what the WESPP was designed to help me manage?  Yes the good ol' Worldwide Employee Share Purchase Plan ... I buy company stock at a very nice discount, sell at market value, pay taxes only on the profit ... presto ... BEAR MONEY!

I got the photo background idea from TamiL, one of our new members.  I asked where she bought her pink/coral/white backdrop and she told me it was created digitally!  So I did the same myself for these pictures.

We're gonna be needin' some instructions ... in your spare time, of course.

Deb

That's what I was thinking.  It's 1/4", so no guessing.

Doesn't the stuffing fall out of the bottom of the leg?  Or do you mean on needlefelted bears?  It's my day to be confused Kim!

I favor wool felt.

Deb

Center seams are my fav.  The last bear I did, and the current one are not center seamed.  I'm def going back next bear.
