Merry Christmas to you too Patty! The recipe sounds yummy. It's so hard to find a recipe for a soft ginger cookie. ![]()

This sounds like a fun challenge Articicle. I stopped trying to join the challenges because I just have too many things going at once and because I'm so doggone sloooooooow.... but surely I can get it done by April!
So since this is to be a totally mythical creature, if it doesn't turn out I can call it the creature from the black lagoon and say it is supposed to look that way?!
Kidding!
Hmmmm... now to figure out what to make...... have to make a decision
..... so many possibilities..... this could take a while.... no wonder I'm slow at creating! egad.

So many great ideas...
Shelli, maybe an e-mail to the family or whoever is posting on the blog might help give us a direction. It couldn't hurt to ask what sort of support would be most helpful surely?
I know this sort of catrastrophic injury generates huge medical expenses and can be financially devastating even for people who are well off. Just a few days in ICU can run up a six figure bill and insurance has its limits.
There have been so many great comments and suggestions. I think the quilt is a great idea. Maybe if we do an auction, a picture of each auctioned bear could be on the quilt? There are several ways to print photos right onto cloth.
If we did a quilt, someone would have to sew it all together and it would have to be quilted and the edges bound. I'm not much of a quilter so I don't know about the logistics and costs of this. Maybe some of our real quilters could comment?
The more I think about it the more I LOVE the quilt idea and I think along with cards it might even be better than a lot of individual gifts. I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor's family and friends haven't already filled her room with stuffed animals and other gifts. Just thinking out loud here. I'm open to whatever is decided.
Sounds yummy Patsy!
This has absolutely brought me to tears. Simply heartbreaking. My heart goes out to this little girl and her family. Even though I live far away, this hits very 'close to home.' I am praying for Taylor and her family and will continue to do so. Like Judi, I believe in the power of prayer! God is bigger than any problem we have and miracles do still happen.
I like Chrissi's idea of valentine cards and benefit. Whatever we decide to do, I'm in.
Mindy you need some elves to help you! And maybe one big scary troll to politely ask that teacher what the heck she was thinking and suggest she be a bit more considerate in the future. Good grief, as if parents don't have enough to do this time of year.
Anyway, thanks for all your hard work. Can't wait to get my copy1
Hi Jane! We'll get you a copy somehow. The nearest town to me that has a B & N is 80+ miles away. I don't get to go very often but I do get up there occasionally. If no one else can get you a copy I'll find an excuse to make a trip up there.
There is a Hobby Lobby and a Joannes there too. Woohoo!
Hi Aleta,
Your pictures look good to me and they turned out better than mine did! Thanks for posting them. I had a terrible time getting a decent photo of this ornament. I guess this she is just camera shy! I fianlly gave up.
I really need to work on my photography skills. Add that to my growing 'need to improve on' list!
I'm so glad your happy with her. Merry Christmas!
How cute! He is wonderful!
