Black-and-White-Cat-006.jpgBlack-and-White-Cat-003_edited-1.jpgHello Teddy Bear Friends: for quit sometime I have struggled in figuring out how to post pictures on Teddy Talk. Determined, I set out to Office Depot with chin to my chest, narrowed eyes, sleeves rolled up and hands on hips. I bought this thing called Photoshop for about $100. Than I signed up for a class on how to use it...another $75....so $175 later, I am debuting a picture of my little bunny....But it was the help of my teddy bear friends who helped me do this first posting because the class I am taking it's focused is on cutting and pasting fruit and vegitables....Can't wait for next weeks class....I may be graduating to editing turnips!!!

Hello Teddy Bear Friends: I bought this program called photoshop....Now I am not the most computer savvy but my friend said this is the easiest way to resize pictures...so I bought it. Now....many curses later...GRRRRRR....I still can't figure out how to resize my pictures to post them here in Teddy Talk.

Sandy, AKA "Stitch" Helped resize my picture for avatar.... I have that up. Now I would love to share pictures with all of you guys but I am looking a a program that has me completely lost (I have started classes....yes....but for some reason, I am learning how to cut and past vegetable pieces to make a verson of  Mr. Potato Head with radish eyebrows, pear nose, kiwi mouth.....---stop laughing...this is really a photoshop class....). So until I see the teacher next week I was trying to resize on my own. and can't.

Can somebody tell me step by step on doing resizing in photoshop?

Many bear hugs

Michelle

p.s. I have the photoshop Elements 4.0

Judi wrote:What would we do without our animals?  Look at how many lives they touch.  There are stories of animals waking up family members during house fires and saving drowning children.   There is a deep purpose for animals in our lives farther than companionship and sources of true comfort.
  They are such a blessing.

When I did direct patient care, I would sometimes send my patients to the Humane society or their local pound to adopt a pet. It did wonders for their depression and found it reduced hospitalizations. I read studies that show having pets reduce high blood pressure, decrease depression, increase activity in the elderly.....Yes Judi, you are so right on how much animals impact our lives....

Dear Judi: I just read about your beloved dog and I was so sad for you. .I read "lifeless".....As I was reading I said a little prayer for Mandi and another to St. Francis of Assisi who is the patron saint for all animals.... What a joy it was to read towards the end of all these posts to read  Mandi survived....though you had a horrid week, the blessing is that Mandi survived. So Judi, as long as you have your health, family and Mandi (oh, yes....your teddy bear friends)....all the other things can be fixed....

Many bear hugs to you....

Melissa: Thank you so much for this information....I can't tell you how much I don't know....I think I will change my password....Now I will have to call my 76 y/o father to help me...sadly, my father knows more about this than I do....

o.k. As I have mentioned in many of my posts, I am not that computer savvy but I love ebay and buy things on there from time to time. So I have a question to help me understand what I should be doing:

1) Re ebay items: Only answer e-mails that is under "my e-bay"? - right?
2) Do not respond to any emails under my regular e-mail in outlook that pertains to an e-bay question? right?

Now I am assuming this is if you are a seller (which I am not). But I buy off ebay and will e-mail questions to the sellers. Does all this still apply?

Thank you teddy bear friends...

Michelle

p.s. Judi, it is very sad that your good name and work is botched up by some criminal. I hope the culprit is caught and prosecuted!

Congratulations Jane...cute monkey...

Millie: what a good soul you are for bringing in the mama and her kittens. I remember I found a cat outside my house and she kept hanging around. I felt bad for her but it appeared nobody claimed her. One day I can home and it was cold and raining. She waited outside for me and the site nearly sent me to tears. I called my mother and begged her to take the cat in (I already had four). Mother, being a cat lover said o.k. Over a period of time, mother said the cat was doing well and getting fat....Next thing I know my mother calls hysterical, saying the cat gave birth to five kittens....on top of her shoes.....Well, I found home for all the kittens but my mother fell in love and kept them all....

It is wonderful to see other peoples experience with their beloved pets...We all share a passion for our animals and concern when they get into things that can hurt them....

Jane: Love, love, love the pictures!!! I just saw a special on orangutans and the efforts to save this beautiful animal.....brought tears to my eyes to see all the deforestation and loss of habitat....but there are good people like you who has a piece in saving these beautiful animals....

Great Big Orangutan Hug for you

Oh my...all of the rainbow pictures are lovely....It really is a wonderful time of year...

Michelle

Michelle Helen

Well, I'm glad I am not alone here...

Krista: you have 12 kitties!!! Wow...I bet you always have a little furry with you even when sewing. Yes, safety is so important...I go crazy when I have lost a needle. I have horrible visions of one of my cats stepping on it or eating it....

Laurie: Love your balinese pictures...I can relate to my kitties stealing bear parts too. I have to go on the hunt for an ear or something when I realize it is missing.....And I have made fur toys for them in hopes they will not steal my bear parts, but noooooo, they still want more... Oh, also Laurie, what kind of siamese to you have. I have two seal points (apple face) and one standard blue point.....I do have a lot of pictures and will post them but I don't have a photo editing program. I tried one of the free ones but I could not figure it out...Sad as it may be....I am not computer  savvy. Quy sent this free program to me and I got stuck....Sandy helped me out with my avitar and edited the picture for me. So at least I have that up. But for everyday posting of pictures, I will figure it out....

Sophie: It is a battle we can not win once our cats are focused on that thread. An you don't want to hurt their little feeling.....

Sue Ann and Duli we just have to love our cats even if it means more work....and when you want your fur, it is hard to wake them up, not wanting to disturb their sleep....One wonders who really rules the house...
