Hello Teddy Bear Friends: I bought this program called photoshop....Now I am not the most computer savvy but my friend said this is the easiest way to resize pictures...so I bought it. Now....many curses later...GRRRRRR....I still can't figure out how to resize my pictures to post them here in Teddy Talk.

Sandy, AKA "Stitch" Helped resize my picture for avatar.... I have that up. Now I would love to share pictures with all of you guys but I am looking a a program that has me completely lost (I have started classes....yes....but for some reason, I am learning how to cut and past vegetable pieces to make a verson of  Mr. Potato Head with radish eyebrows, pear nose, kiwi mouth.....---stop laughing...this is really a photoshop class....). So until I see the teacher next week I was trying to resize on my own. and can't.

Can somebody tell me step by step on doing resizing in photoshop?

Many bear hugs

Michelle

p.s. I have the photoshop Elements 4.0

Michelle, hiya, well,I´d love to do your classes with veggies
I hope I can help you soemwhat, I have a german version, so I´m not sure if the "titles" are all correct:
you open a photo in photoshop
then you go to"picture" in the taskbar ( 3. task from the left)
in there you find "picture size" ( or something similar) and a wee picture pops up
there I change the pixels...usually something like 300 x 400 pixels...maybe one of our computer specialists can tewll you that exactly.
when the picture is still to big, just deduct a bit from the pixels...
can´t wait to see your pix!

Michelle..if it works like mine does..open the progamme up then select the photo you want to resize. Click 'Image' along the top. Then from the drop down menu select 'image size' ..click on that.

Where it says 'document size' change the figure in the 'Resolution' box to 72..then check the 'pixel dimension' box above it that the height is 600 or less..I think that's it.

Save it making sure it's a jpeg file and that the name doesn't have any symbols or spaces in it..then you'll be able to upload it to TT...

It might be wrong but it's how I do it..and it works ok for ne!!

Here's an easy powertoy I use for resizing photos.  Click on this link and download.  Then whenever you right click on a photo, you will have the option to "resize photo".  Click on that and you will get a window that gives you size options.  I use small or handheld sizes for posting here.  It's free, easy and quick.
