Hi Clare
I like to list my bears so that the next auction will begin before the end of the first auction....that way there is another bear to look at in the view sellers other items section, sometimes if someone wins a bear, they will look for another...you could also put into your auction, 'please check out my upcoming auctions'...something like that...
Good luck :rose:

Nancy, Life is sure unfair I can't stand to see kids sick...it just isn't right
Hugs Sarah
Oh my gosh Jenny, I will own up too I send them out individually
...and I just told my mum about the BBC thing and she said "I've told you about that before" Arghh it must have slipped out my ear when she did lol
Clare, I just have a link for my email on my website for joining my mailing list. People just write and ask to be added. That works well for me :)

Hi Amanda
I've done both, thread jointing and tiny cotter pins. With thread jointing, I take the thread through the bear into the inside of the limb taking a stitch and then back again into the body...pull as you go and go back and forth a couple of times. Tie off and sink the knot close to the joint. I think as long as you stuff firmly you shouldn't get the dimpling. It is definately easier than sticking plyers into a 3inch bear!
Hope this helps and good luck :rose:

Terrie..
and watching my mother fit the bodices of dresses directly on the wearer... etc.... Beray truly ours,

Ouch!!! you brought back some painful pinning memories...ohhh mothers who like to sew for their kids lol

Amanda--- I think that the magazines consider 'miniature' to be 5" and under, but really, I think it's more the scale than the size that makes something miniature. I've seen a lot of 6 inch bears that I would really consider to be mini rather than small full sized bears!
Beary truly yours,

Not meaning to butt in...but...I never considered my 5 inchers to be mini, until I entered one in a show and realised it was in the smallest category! They are still big in the mini world, but I get frustrated with anything smaller at this point in time...I have made smaller, but they are once in a few month bears when I get the urge
What is interesting, is that I make my arms and legs long...now one of my small bears may measure 5 inches but the legs make up a lot of that height...does anyone else do the same with their bears...
Hugs Sarah
I am loving this section Wish I had the time earlier to join in!
Kim your little bear is adorable and you are right, it is fun here
Helena and Shantell, love your new avatars :rose:
What I'm realizing is that many of the bears I see on avatars are tiny!! I never knew those of you who make minis, make minis...Its amazing!
Hugs Sarah
I've never heard of heavy polyfil. Sounds good. I use regular polyfil and fine glass beads, but my bears are only around the 5 inch mark.
I always worry that steel shot will rust..Does it rust through the fabric 'pillows'??
By the way, so cool that there is a mini section now!! I haven't been on here for a week and love this new addition, and the new smilys! How cool are they!!
Bear hugs :rose:

Lamingtons are basically a sponge cake cut into squares, dipped in chocolate and then dipped in shredded coconut. Sometimes they are slit in half and cream and jam are squished in between...MMMmmmmm yum
Anzac Biscuits (we call cookies biscuits or bickies)
this is one recepie I just googled, I would't use wholemeal flour (too healthy) though. You just mix it up and slap spoonfulls on a try and viola...anzac biscuits :)
3/4 cup (75g) rolled oats
1/2 cup (125g) sugar
3/4 cup (70g) coconut
3/4 cup (115g) wholemeal flour
2 tablespoons (40g) golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 tablespoons (40mls) boiling water
1/2 cup (125g) butter, melted
Hehe..this is fun

Hey Sarah sorry to say but I am a whopping 5'2 so that just about leaves you at the bottom so far. I could save you and get my daughter Sarah to join the group she is a petit 5' and a whole 1/2 inch. But just remember they say the best gifts come in small packages so having you here with us is a wonderful gift!
Jane :)
Oh you would tower above me Jane hehe

Danni i saw your bear in teddy bear scene, i think that was the mag. It was a little picture at the top of the page? Maybe you can ask your newsagent to get it in since we get it here in SA??
Hey all
I would love to swap links and although I didn't start this thread there are a few people here that I haven't included yet...will it be okay if I do Hayley, Tammy, Melissa, Fran, Clare, Penny and Sue Ann...phew!
And here is my banner if anyone would like to add me :P
Great, will check back later.

It is so nice to see the people behind the bears!!! and I agree you are all a great looking bunch! :)
I don't think that I look like my bears but I do feel the same way that some of them feel.
I don't feel quite as wide eyed and innocent as Plum Puddin' any more, but at times I do like to be as silly as Snicker Doodle.
Like Dunston, there are days that I just love to lounge around and then there are days that I feel like and old troll!![]()

I'm the same Kim lol
I remember when my sister and I were kids we had little bottles of red dyed water that we pretended was gummibearie juice lol. So cute when you think of it lol

Judi your bears are sooo beautiful just had to say lol
hug sarah
Hi there
Love seeing everyone You are all so beautiful
I think I take a lot of my bear design from my pets. Never really thought about whether I look like my bears...hmmm. I suppose it would be kinda cool to look like a fairy bear or an angel bear lol but maybe not a Jellybelly Bear lol
oh Jane, I'm so sorry about Chunky..but at least he is improving..I find it so hard when my dogs are sick...they can't tell me whats wrong and it makes me feel so helpless...
big hug to you and your poochie
sarah
lol..no way!!! I make enough to put back into bears and maybe keep one or two and thats it lol.
