Thanks again everyone...will be trying ebay.com next time I list and will see the difference.

Winney, we have a online Aussie post where you just type in the place you want to send to and the weight and you get the shipping price.  I know the US has one too...It makes it very easy to sell worldwide ;)

I've never looked for OOAK's specifically...I just search for 'artist bears' in the search section and tick worldwide...it works for me and I think I get all artist bear listings bear_original  Maybe I search differently to others..hmmmm

Oh Shelli, I'm sorry...take it easy and hope all will be okay...Family always comes first doesn't it...

hugs and well wishes

oh my lord!!!!  bear_shocked 3 pics per bear!!!!  Try 30 lol...Seriously I keep around 30 bear_tongue  After all, I will never see them again!
My advice is to always keep the original unadjusted photos...you might not like things the same way down the track, and you can always re adjust

Hi Danni
you know I had the exact same thing happen to me! bear_angry When I first began selling bears at the end of last year.  It is so annoying I know, coz you really don't realise you are doing anything wrong.  The main thing to stay out of hot water is not mention anything about any other bears or items available for sale anywhere else than ebay.  Leave all of that for the About me page.

You can list Wilbur again, and when it happened to me they refunded charges so I wasn't out of pocket at all....

Also, don't worry about watchers...I've found that it is an inaccurate way to see how many people are really interested...On Odette I had 2 watchers..and I had 2 bids...other times I've had 15 watchers and 2 bids bear_rolleyes ...see what I mean?

I'm sure no one from this group has dobbed you in Danni so I wouldn't worry about that bear_noexpression ...I've never seen anything but friendliness and support here...it's a lovely group of people bear_cool ...I think ebay has it's prowlers who check out how ever many auctions a day and then do their dirty work...
I love the bear community for it's 'niceness' and genuine support..its lovely and I love being part of it, I've never had any hints of cattiness and that is what I think bear makers are all about...nice warm cozies bear_laugh It makes me feel good..but then I'm an old softie lol :P

Good luck in re-listing :)

I will get there soon hopefully lol :P
thanks

You are on my train of thought Jenny...do most people click to search for worldwide auctions from their UK, US or aussie ebays...

I have 'will post worldwide' set on my auction but wondered if most US'ers only look at the US auctions only...
I know I always look on ebay.com.au but tick worldwide auctions, from places located anywhere...but I'm from Australia were there aren't many people and if I didn't do that I would only see 20 bears, they wouldn't have that problem looking for bears located in the US....hmmmm....

Okay:/, what I'm gonna do is list on ebay.com next time just to test it out.  When I have them ready, I will put an angel and flutter bear up and see the difference..So I will have the same sorts as I've just sold on ebay.com.au.....I'll get back to you in a couple of weeks lol bear_tongue

So thanks girls, I will give it a go and see what happens...Just noticing that all my bids come from Aussies and wondered...

Hi all
As an Aussie, I'm really interested to know how you girls from the US view artist bears on ebay.  Do you look at world wide auctions or only from the US??
I have only had 3 international sales, the rest have been to Australia, so I wonder how many international collectors actually look at Aussie auctions.
Anyone want to share?
Just wondering if I should list on the US ebay instead...I think Aussies look at worldwide auctions coz we have so few here...may get a bigger audience if I list through the US ebay???
thanks

I start my bidding price at the price I want to get.  That way if I only get one bid, I'm happy.  I think this is cheaper than setting a reserve etc...
To get a reasonable price I think you have to work out your materials etc...and then work out how much you want to get for your hours of work, within reason both ways...Thats what I do and I'm happy with the prices I come up with..More work, I want more profit...Thats the way I work anyway :P

My first bear that I sold was for a child.  A newborn.  She wanted it to be made normally tho, not child safe.  But I think the idea of bears for kids isn't out there enough.

Amanda I love that, my artist flow lol. I'm picturing one of those eccentric artists lol.:P

Thanks for your ideas Kim, I will copy your advice for next time, what you said is helpful coz I was at a loss for what choices to give her...I thought just colour but it has snowballed by her looking at my other bears and liking others lol

I will use what you said this time if she doesn't make up her mind by next email.  Direct her more and give her like a checklist or something.  She seems like she is having a ball choosing but I jsut want to order and get started lol.

Okay...I have a plan lol...Lets hope it works lol

Thankyou all

Oh Shantell ((hugs)) Little by little you will get there....there is no rush.  I've been so sick for so long and slowly after 5yrs have gotten this far...and it is not really far since I've only just sold my 12th bear!  Not from lack of interest, but lack of availability due to me :(
It will come in time...and you learn as you go along too and make improvements, so even when you think you've got everything done, I bet you in 6 mths time you will have new ideas :P
Have fun with it and take it all as it comes...I do and its the only way :)
big hug

His proportions look traditional to me...maybe the body needs to be a little longer??  Only from the photo, it may be okay in person.
I think you've done a great job of a traditional bear.  The ears, round head and long arms and legs, and he is hunched over bear_original Well done

Hi All
I was wondering what you all do for orders?  A lady who has ordered 4 bears from me wants different colours for each bear.  Now I am fine with this, but she is liking other furs on other bears that I've made and wants the butter fly bears in that fur...do you know  what I mean?  Anyway, the fur won't work coz it is too long...so what does eveyone do in this situation...
I have sent her some fabric samples and told her what she can choose from...and I even gave her the option of a larger butterfly bear to use the fur she likes...hmmm...She seems to be having fun with it all but I can imagine someone else would have been fed up already with the choices lol.
So anyone had this problem and what do you do with customs?  I would like to have a plan for and if next time this happens....
I will make the fur order once she has decided, but she wants them for christmas lol...tick tick lol
thanks :)

Hi Rita
I just bought a Fujifilm S3500
it is wonderful and i love it.  it has 4 mega pixels and 6 optical zoom...and macro.  and heaps of other settings.  It is a chunky camera which I like so I can stand it on something to take shots without it wobbling.
I am in love with my new camera at the moment lol
good luck

Nancy, I am only just reading posts now...I am so sorry you are all going through this....

Hi Lynne
Yes I love the breed.  Their cheekiness and energy and love..I don't know how old my Nala is but she is really greying badly..she is still on the go and jumping on tables etc lol.  she is half foxy so has legs like tigger from winny the pooh lol  I well up when I think of anything happening, but don't think of it often...just worry how old she really is...
Gyp looks and sounds like my Kira.  She will catch the ball for all day if you could throw it!  And the way she actualy throws the ball up onto my lap is amazing and so cute bear_original  I can imagine your girl with the doll lol...just picturing Kira doing it lol...oh they do make me laugh so hard lol.
Kira's favourite thing is ball and food lol.  And she can eat her dinner in 10 seconds and then she does like 5 huge burps lol...little piggy.
I'm sorry about your girl...glad you have cody tho..he is a cutie bear_original
