I know what you mean, Jodi. I don't have any of the photo editing materials on my current comp, but I think its certainly helpful to be able to put lettering on your photos Lump it under marketing skills, something all of us have to learn to master along with our bearmaking skills :photo:
If it's any consolation Jodi..........Photoshop drives me nuts and i know how to use it
Well done you
Penny
Great job Jodi!! You know more than I do!!
Are there any easier programs ?? I MEAN REALLY EASY !!!!!! Where it tells you what to do or mostly does it for you ?? I WANT IT TO DO IT FOR ME !!!!!  listen to me .....IM CRAZY !!!!!
Jodi do you still have my instructions? I can send them again if you like, they were just the basic beginnings, so maybe i didn't explain about colours..I'll have to check.
I'm really happy that you have the lettering down  If you like I can let you know how to colour them or whatever else, just email me
Jodi, I do all my lettering stuff in my Microsoft 'Notebook' program. It took me ages to find out what was behind all the little buttons and what they are capable of doing. It takes three programs to get what I want done though.
Oh gee 3 programs !!!
Sarah, I am thinking I put it in a section where I could go back to it . I will have to hunt it down and see if I still have it. Thanks for volunteering your information. But you know what? usually I don't know enough to even come up with a question. I know that sounds dumb but really I am really new at computer things and I can't believe what I have learned all ready. I am hoping it is just a matter of time. Your a dear heart !! But maybe you could explain the color thing. For now sience thats what I am messing with right now.
Jodi they are great and well done you for working out photoshop..... I am still learning and I can tell you I am slow
hehe, so proud of you Jodi Yup, just getting in there and trying things is the best way, and not being worried...there is nothing you can break so just go beserk and press buttons...see what it all does. The really fun part is experimenting with the filters. go to filter at the top and the menu begins with artistic...click and try them all
you'll love it!! just make sure your photo is a copy and you have nothing to worry about. Hope you keep having fun
Here is another, now I can make my own greeting cards !!!
Hi Jodi I've edited my last post around 3 times already lol, so tired a little
hehe
Okay, to copy, open up your photo in photoshop, go to Image. Then click on Duplicate on the pull down menu. then click ok. You have a copy. You can then close your original and work with the copy...you can make as many copies as you like and just play around with different things. Jodi, I'm so excited you are doing this!
I've been thinking and is this a dumb idea? to have another section on here for photoshop help....maybe photography, photoshop and websites...something like that. I know I love to talk about all of this, and help too....generally bear artistry goes together with these other 'hobbies'....crazy idea?

Yay   you'll definitely be sitting there all day..make sure your chair is comfortable

A way to make the photo a smaller size (KB) without ruining the onscreen quality is to make the quality around 7 or 8 when you save. you can also use the save for web button, but maybe I'll explain that one later?
You cannot print photos with this sort of quality, but as computer screens only pick up a certain level of clarity, its useless to have your pictures at highest quality and takes up a lot of space, taking a long time for viewers to download. I hope this makes sense. My dear friend Hayley taught me about this and she was much better at explaining it!
hehe, don't think you'll be able to now lol. I must get going tho...I've had fun goodnight from Oz
