Hello Teddy Bear Friends: Many years ago I use to take a lot of teddy bear making classes at the Teddy Bear Museum in Naples, Florida. That wonderful Museum is closed now. I love to take bear making classes. How do you go about finding who is giving classes and where?

I agree with Jo  bear_thumb Nancy's classes are great.

I've taken three classes so far and I loved them all.....plus the fact that you take the class at home when you have the time. I have been in other classes before and you either have to spent a whole weekend or drive a long way once a week in the evening when you are tired and rather would stay at home instead of making bears. With Nancy's classes, you take the class in your own pace and when you feel for it.  bear_original

I know there are many artists who teach at shops, their homes, etc. It's a matter of asking around like you are doing.... find artists on the internet that are close to you or in places you are willing to go for a class and email them to see if they know of any.

I am teaching two classes this fall and more advanced ones this winter if you want to come to New Hampshire....

The ABC shows in Schaumburg, IL offer classes ..... Michelle Lamb is teaching this October  http://www.abcunlimitedproductions.com/

Yes asking artists is a great idea. Sign up for artists newsletters as well to get updates of what they are doing. I have found that workshops seem to congregate around bear making shows so theres another good place to look. bear_smile

And I also agree with the others Nancy's classes are great! bear_thumb  bear_thumb

Thank you everybody.

Nancy: I’ve heard wonderful things about your classes. I have been thinking about taking some for a long time. I've never done a class on line (I’m not computer savvy) but I think I will give it a try. Plus I have your book too which I love….it is a great idea to put a list of artists together who are giving classes. It is so much easier to look in one place.

Tina and Jo: Thanks for confirming what I have heard about Nancy’s online classes. It does make sense to take a class from you own home. I have struggled with computers but am a little better and think I can tackle this.

Daphne: I see you have a class in September. That one sounds fun but I am doing a lot of traveling this month and it would not fit in my schedule but I will keep my eye out for future workshops.

Teeeej: Good idea in just getting on the artist mailing list.

Thank you all again for giving ideas. I just miss taking classes so much….
