Hi all, first thanks for the warm welcome yesterday  bear_original

I'm working on my first bear kit and having loads of fun. I put all
the joints in last night and will start stuffing today. He looks
pretty cute even though he is flat as a pancake. LOL
At least his arms and legs are all going the right way.  bear_thumb

I had a few questions first...... what kind of paint
will work for shading, I have a ton of acrylics because
that is what I use on my dolls, will that work? Do
you need to heat set after? If so how? Blow dryer?  Also can you add paint
to the glass eyes?? If so , how would you set the paint
so if would not come off, use heat or a sealer?

Also I was reading in one of my many book that you
can needle sculpt around the eye area before setting
the eyes.  Does this work well?

Thanks in advance,
Tami

Hi Tami,

Check out these pages on paint and shading from the Teddy Talk REFERENCE LIBRARY, which you can access from the colored menu bar at the top of the forum.

Each topic in the links below is a link to an entire thread worth of information on this subject.

Enjoy your lenghty read... and welcome to you!
