But the wind here keep the bugs mooving so they can't land and bite. it's black fly season now and in another couple of weeks the misquitos come followed by deer flies... the buggers are vicious. Not all 'wildlife' in New England is pleasant. I love windy days!!!
Brenda,
Come back and visit Florida!
Okay. Fess up time. What's everyones nickname? I told you mine. Now you tell me yours!!
Not me, but I love your nickname, Aleta, and what a cool story. Now I know why your old ebay name was "akaqueen"!
I don't mind the wind but if it brings a storm I do not do well. I am terrified of lightning. My Mom was afraid so i think i picked that up from her.
Chrissie, will definitely be back in the next year or so - our grandson is almost old enough for his "second" trip to Disneyworld! He needs to turn three first. We took him at 9 months and he was as good as gold. Lots and lots of things to see!
Garnet and I have been married 32 years 33 this year. He has always called me his Critter. Now what the heck is that?
Bugs. Don't much like bugs either. Just the name....black flies....sound sinister. We don't have many mosquitos where we are because we seem to have an abudance of frogs. I love the sound of frogs. At this time of year you can hear them even with the TV on! Personally, I think they cling to the windows at night. Not really. It's funny to think about though. We don't have any of those other bugs that you mentioned, Daphne.
Oh I just love watching lightning! I used to get the kids up to watch storms with me - we all thought it was kind of like watching fireworks!
Hate wind though - at least wind like we get here! Shakes the whole house and the windows all move in and out - the mirror in the bathroom too and it'd on an inside wall - no wait, maybe that's the reflection of the windows moving, don't see how the mirror could move - maybe I need another glass of wine - I swear I haven't had time to drink mine but it seems to be all gone!
Edie
You remember akaqueen? Oh Brenda, you always make me smile....BIG!
I can deal with black flies and mosquitos - they don't seem to like me much. They loooooove my hubby - its funny to watch them swarm around him, when he has bug repellent on, and they leave me alone and I won't wear bug repellent LOL! However, I HATE deer and horse flies - those buggers HURT!!!
Critter = pet name for cute little animal. That is soooo sweet!!
Really? I have always hated it.
Edie,
I'm having the same problem with the wine! It keeps disappearing and I really don't know how because I'm typing as fast as I can. How can I possibly have time to lift the glass?
Renae, come back during hurricane season if you're a hurricane repellent.
Edie, I wonder where that edging went?
Brenda, DH and I love Disneyworld, and we go a lot. We're going next week for the doll and teddy bear convention. I bet it will be fun to see your grandson's reaction there. If you need any Disney tips, let me know and I'll do my best.
Daphne, I hate bugs. Mosquitos love to bite me and I hate them!
Queen Aleta!
That is a sweet nickname, Louise! - you must be almost as old as me - I've been married 36 years (I think!)
Edie
Ha Ha Ha Ha!! Oh you kill me!!
Renae,
I did marry that guy! He's a prince for sure....comlete with castle and everything!
Edie, Neil and I will have our 35th anniversary on September 3rd, this year! Time sure flies.
I am going to be 50 this year. I married Garnet when I was a baby. I have asked for a Pajama part for my 50th birthday with all my Girl friends. We are going out for supper and to one their houses for a girls Pajama party. looking forward to it.
Aleta, your house is absolutely beautiful - I'd like a virtual tour, please LOL!
Critter is cute!
congrats to everyone for being married so long! we've been married just over 2 years.
Louise... I like Critter too! It's very endearing.
Brenda..... come on.... tell us your knick name! The bugs love my hub too!!!! I spend all summer in one of those net jackets with a hood. I have it!!!
Aleta.... you are lucky not to hate all those bugs!
My knick name???
DUCK or DUCKY ..... Like Daffy Duck!
I hated it, still do, so don't get any ideas!!!
Louse, that is such a cool idea - a PJ party!
My nickname is CeCe. I called myself that when I was little because I couldn't say Chrissie. Only those close to me know the name.
