Since my surgery I have had a hard time eating...its all yuck.

So I started watching the Food Network.....I can't stop saving recipies.   I tried one today...with a few changes?  Fabulous.  Could only eat 4 bites, but they were great bites!

Even the hubs liked too....and he is picky.

ha like I'm not?rotz.gif

So what do you guys do for your appetites when they go down?

I know what you mean Dilu, I've lost weight since my surgery , I'm down at least ten pounds and I'm just starting to feel hungry again lately (my surgery was Feb 21st) Only problem now is that I don't eat things I'm allergic to anymore which doesn't leave me a lot of choice. I'm sure you'll get your appetite back in time, take it slow and don't stress over it. I'm sure the girls will have lots of good advice      bear_smile

Oh my goodness Renae?!!!!

do you have the Brown Derby cook book by any chance?  I would be happy to buy it from you.

My nephew is living with my mom and he hasn't a clue about important things.  It was my dad's favorite cook book.  'Bout 2-3 times a year he would plan a whole meal around those recipies.

I should see if I can find one on line....has the best fruitcake recipie in the world...

Chocolate doesn't do it for me, although I love it.  I found this lovely hand lotion/body lotion that smells just like chocolate and as long as I can smell it I feel like I ate it. bear_grin

hugs

Charlotte: cravings are the problem....haven't any, right now...except for lime sherbert.  Not a lot of nutrition there... bear_happy

When I feel "ick" I tend to go for the "kids classics"...homemade chicken soup, "light" mashed potatoes (made with stock instead of heavy milks), dry cereal usually gets me going enough to want to eat. I could live on dry cereal..I would eat a whole box while watching a movie if I wasn't careful!!  bear_grin

I love using my "express cooker" it's super fast and makes the most flavorful foods...red potatoes and carrots cooked using a good stock is probably my "ick" favorite from the pressure cooker. Slow cookers are good too, because you just throw whatever in and all day you smell the wonderful smells..might be enough to get you a little hungry come dinner time :)

If you're craving lime sherbet maybe look up some recipes online with lime...maybe that could help get you craving some other things.  You can marinade just about anything with citrus.
