...another litter of kittens!!! I do believe after much ado that little Skippy is "in the family way" again. I know, I know...get her spayed...and I will...but it's a bit complicated.
Are you ready for more kitten capers at with the Apple Dumpling Bear gang? I'll try to not be so obnoxious this time...but what's not to love about baby anything.
Hugs
Hooray . . . more kittens . . . yea . . . woohoo!!!!
YOU MUST KEEP ONE THIS TIME!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

Oh yeah!!! More fur babies - is she having them now or do you mean sson? Keep us posted.
hugs,
Brenda
 There's no such thing as too many kittens--when is mama due?
Yeah! - look forward to hearing about the latest kitty tales.
Hugs

She hasn't had any yet...I think it will happen within the next couple weeks. I've changed her nickname from Skipita to...
Roly Poly Skipoly. She so big right now that she can't lay on her tummy and when she tries just rolls over to her side...it's cute and pathetic at the same time. I sooooooooo feel for her. She also keeps trying to sneek in the house...I suspect she's looking for a better birthing place then under the deck like before. I think she may be a Cinderella story only a fur edition. HA!
And...yes, I will be keeping one. In all honesty I'm happy to have kittens again but I should have just adopted. I just read in our local paper a week or so ago that the no kill shelter here has 70 cats and kittens and are at their capacity and looking for foster homes for about 30 more.
Hugs...photos to come soon!!!
OH OH !!!! Can't wait to see photos !!
Keep us posted   I LOOOOOOVE kitties !!!
Who doesn't love kittens? Post as many pictures as you want to, I'll look at every one!!!

Yay, the kitty saga continues! Looking forward to pictures of the new babies.
Hi Shantell,
Funny how it goes - when we were looking for a kitten one time in February, we couldn't find one anywhere. We finally located one lonely kitten at a local shelter. Two months later - there were kittens everywhere looked.
If Surrender is the father again, the kittens should be just as cute as last time - maybe even a Max for you!
We move on Friday, and will be without a house for two and a half weeks, so won't be able to check TT much, but will watch for your post.
Do you think Skippy would have the kittens in the house if you let her? Wouldn't that make it easier? What would your other cat think?
hugs,
Brenda
This was taken about a week ago...she's even bigger now!!! This doesn't even really show how big she truly is. I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more kittens this time. AUGH
Brenda...none of the cats are indoor kitties. I'm going to start leaving the garage open again and see if she'll make a nest in there on her own. Right now she's pretty much just hanging out on one of the door mats or under the hostas in the front flower bed. She really doesn't go far from the house except to potty.
Have fun with your move...
Shantell - OMG! Poor baby! I remember those days and not fondly LOL! For some reason, I thought you had one cat that was an indoor cat. They survive okay in the winter? I'm such a softee, I'd be building little heated cat houses, all over the property! I can't sleep unless my two are in the house, and one of them is usually hogging more than his bit of the bed. They go on my side of the bed, as they know hubby will kick them off LOL! Actually, since the summer heat, they have both been sleeping downstairs and I've been enjoying all the extra room on the bed!
hugs,
Brenda
Our cat Samech was also a stray that adopted us. We did allow him in the house the first year we had him but he decided that jumping on the counters and peeing on the furniture (leather furniture) was an okay thing to do....and sharpening his claws on the cabinets. He's obnoxiously affectionate and I love him to bits but...
I have covered cat beds outside that keeps them pretty warm and content in the winter. Fortunately we don't get the extreme colds like some parts do. I truly miss having an indoor cat. My two kids still have their cats at their dads, my baby Oz ran away during my divorce move and my big old fat cat, Murphy, passed away about 3 months before that. I really wish Samech was better behaved but I just can't trust him. Silly boy...he doesn't know what he's missing. I give a good head AND belly scratch
I'm still working on Skippy...
Eeew! No wonder he's now outside. We only had a problem with one cat - a wee female that we found wild. She insisted that she could pee in the potted plants, which was fine with me, cuz I hated house plants! The males have all been fine. I hope Skippy will behave herself, then maybe she could move indoors. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
hugs,
Brenda
EIGHT? OMG NO!!! 4 or 5 max would be purfect. Yes, she's a blimb...poor girl.
Renae, As far as wanting one...I can conveniently drop one off at your house for you...you can just "find" it and then you'll have to keep it. We can scheme later after you pick which one you want...
Oh my, big pretty kitty! Couple of thoughts... do you have any TNR programs around you for feral cats (TNR = trap - neuter - release)? You might be able to find someone who would possibly assist you in catching her for a spay post-kittens, or might even do it for you. The best thing I can think about trying to get her in the house / garage and KEEP her in there is to prevent her from getting pregnant again, which unfortunately she will be capable of within days of having her litter.
Regarding your other cat's problems indoors... I know some folks who swear by the Feliway diffuser to correct inappropriate urinating and even scratching indoors. Might be worth looking into!
Best wishes,
Kelly
Shantell,
I couldn't resist posting this picture of Max with your picture of Skippy looking down at him. Max is my TT sidekick. As long as his cushy mat is folded in half for double the cush, he'll sleep there until I'm finished posting. He's trained me well, hasn't he? Actually, it's the only time he's not bouncing off the walls so now I intentionally take a TT break.
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Kelly, what's a Feliway diffuser?

They probably do have some kind of service around here. I do think you have to trap them yourself. We were sure she was pregnant again immediately after having her first litter but well...shock I was wrong. There is a whole Skippy and her kittens saga on here...with pictures, etc., and the happy ending with dear Aleta and her kids adoption of the entire litter.
Skippy was abandoned several months ago and has another potentially serious problem with a completely broken off front paw that just hangs. When I finally do catch her it will be a one time trip to the vet to care for both her fertility issues and her paw. Trapping her twice will not be an option...she is VERY smart. I've already been told that her paw/leg may need to be removed completely which will mean more than just trap...and then release as she will need a longer rehab time. We are slowly getting her to be friendlier towards us at least. Her last litter of kittens she actually moved on her own into our garage and was quite happy in there. We are hoping she just has them in the garage this time. She does come in the house on her own as if to check things out.
And yes, what is a Feliway diffuser?
Aleta...all I can say is AWWWWWWW...like mamma, like son. He is such a sweet boy and has you so well trained.
OH you cheeky bugga!!! For a moment there I thought YOU were pregnant  and was getting all excited for you
Wendy
Skippy is lucky to have you looking out for her, Shantell!
(Disclaimer that I have known people that used this, though not used it myself). Feliway is a synthetic cat pheromone, it seems odd but interesting! By my understanding, when a cat rubs his (or her) cheek up against something, he leaves a pheromone marking that labels it 'his'. Once he's marked something with his cheek, he is less likely to mark it by other means... with urine, scratching, and so forth. The odor also supposedly calms the cat (they consider it a "job well done" and it gives a sense of familiarity to an area, I suppose!). Feliway replicates the odor of the cat's cheek pheromone, the cat can detect it but people cannot. There is a spray that you can spritz onto any particular surface that the cat is damaging. Or there is a diffuser which you plug in, it acts like a plug-in air freshener would and dispenses small amounts into the environment for several weeks. People use it various ways. I hear you can also spritz the inside of a cat carrier before travelling somewhere (like the vet) to calm them down a bit. Some people use it when moving a cat to a new environment. Anyway, I think it's facinating stuff. If I happened to have a nutty high-strung cat or one that liked to pee or scratch inappropriate objects, I think I'd give it a try. Your mileage may vary, of course
Cheers,
Kelly
Ah, how interesting. Thanks for the explanation, Kelly. I've heard of such products but haven't seen that one, although it's entirely possible our local Petco carries it. Happily I haven't had any pee problems and the scratching thing I just chalk up to, "Oh well, time for a new sofa every seven years or so!" With four of them it's a lost cause to keep things scratch-free.
I'll keep that in mind should things change. Thank you!
Thanks Kelly for the info. I've actually heard of that too. I must BELONG to Samech because he's constantly rubbing up against me. I can't do anything outside with out him right there investigating. He's knocked me off balance while working in the flower beds more times than I can count. I refer to him as the paparazzi...all he needs is a camera.
Pooped and ready to POP...
Poor poor Roly Poly Skipoly!!!
