The first time I tried eBay, I sat there watching the screen for the first hour, then checked back every hour for the first day.
Then I gave it up entirely, and didn't look again until the auction was over. My little bear&friend had attracted two bids and sold for $10 over the opening bid, which was a bit dissapointing, but they'd sold.
What was really really awful was to discover that my Hubs had made the first bid--he had no idea this was shill-bidding and could get me kicked off eBay forever. He just wanted to help out! It was his first time using eBay at all, and his last.
I found out too late to have the bid retracted, but I"ve been waiting for the sky to fall on me ever since!
