This is what I have been up to today...for the first time in donkeys years I said 'yes' when asked to do a photo shoot. We were working at a stately home..and ...oh my goodness ..it was breathtaking. I have been up since 4.30 am and I'm shattered but it was a good day...and I got to work with my son who is just getting into photography..and my daughter who was the hairstylist. This was a fashion shoot for a up and coming designer...it's nice to challenge yourself now and then...I've uploaded a few pictures of the location for you to see and a couple of the shots I took .

However... I am now going on a serious diet..

Wow, Jenny!!! Beautiful photos you've captured!!! Sounds like you had a most wonderful day!

Those legs make me sick!

But that house..... I don't want it unless it comes with lots of servants!!!!!  No, even then, I don't want it. (I just spent half the day on my hands and knees scrubbing our cermaic tile flooring! I'm against houses at the moment!)

Thanks for sharing those pictures!! bear_original

That house was enormous...it used to be an Abbey till Henry Vlllth knocked it down...so the brown old looking bit is 14th century..and the flashy grey bit is much newer...inside it's very grand with carved ceilings and marble everywhere. The gardens are magnificent..with a lake..a cricket ground..a walled garden......

It's the ghosts I was worried about ..it's extremely creepy...noises and things going bump...

All a bit scary!!

Oh those girls are so SKINNY....they need a few Snickers bars to fatten them up a bit!!!

What made me laugh was that one of them...who was really skinny..had to wear a bum pad under one of the skirts to make her look curvy..I did suggest I could model it ..then they wouldn't need the pads...

They weren't interested in that idea...I wonder why....

And how DID she feel about  having to wear a "bum padding"?

What beautiful photographs Jenny, and what an absolutely gorgeous setting.  I don't think anyone is ever going to tell me I need a bum pad!

What GREAT pictures!!!

The girl in the pale blue dress (the red head) is absolutely stunning......I think her hair is gorgeous!

The redheaded girl was wearing temporary hair extensions that we waved beforehand...and just stitched them in!!! She is very striking!

Shantell..I actually thought she looked better with the false bum....she was far too thin a British size 6...she likes being skinny so wasn't too keen on having the strap on bottom!!

You can always rely on 'The little Black Dress' to see you through.

I'm a jeans and sweatshirt person myself.................. - but lovely with it

Dear Jenny,

You are quite the artist with the camera,

I never looked that good in my teens on my very very best day....which I think was June 17, 1968.  June 18th wasn't too bad either, but its been downhill since then!

Now, re: the house.  I suppose if I  could afford the house I could afford the very large staff for the upkeep.  Because there is no way I'm doing those floors.  How many swiffer pads would it take a day?  Hmmm?

And the models?  Tell me the are not vapid and shallow.  i would dearly love to know that they were intelligent and beautiful inside as well as outside, because honey, you made them glow....especially Miss black dress........I want to look like her in my next life....I promise I'll be good!

Thank you so much for sharing.....what a treat!

PS.  I love the two samples of your up and coming designer....I would love them better if they had sleeves.....there is an age beyond which one shouldn't go sleevelss....and i reached that age oh about the end of June 1968!

Wowza . . . the redhead looks like a porcelain doll!  The house is super impressive, but I'm afraid I'd get lost living there, not to mention the cleaning.  Such talent in your family!

How come I never got to do that? The best place I got to model was outside Pittock mansion, the photographer was too cheap to pay for inside shots!

   Oh dear Renae...but at least you can say you were on location at the Pittock  bear_laugh

LOVE the house!  Yes, I'll have it please, replete with ghosties and staff  bear_happy  ....just need the income to match  bear_laugh   I do love that greenhouse, though....or is that the orangerie???  Never can remember...

Too funny that the one model had to be 'fleshed up' a bit to make her look right  bear_tongue   Fashion is never happy!

OK, I must say that the house is MAGNIFICENT, the ladies are lovely, but the last in the black dress looks like she may need to consume a few more calories. I DO NOT want to look like that in this life or the next.  I wouldn't be able to hold my bears when I was done with them! lol  WONDERFUL pics, Jenny!

What a wonderful mansion and yes you would need maids,  servants and cleaners to live there.

Great photography and I love the Ladies hair - fabulous.

I have to agree that the girl in the black dress is too skinny..I actually think she is a bit too much ...but the red-head ate like a horse all day..and is just a natural.

We were so lucky that we were allowed inside..they made us so welcome..the house-keeper was  excited to have everyone there. The house is no longer lived in...a family do live in one wing and some of it is now apartments ..but that part is owned by the National Trust and is open to the public but they closed it for us especially. Only thing is my daughter now wants her wedding there...I better make some more bears!!

The photos are going to be in an exhibition at the Custard Factory gallery in Birmingham fairly soon..along with all the garments. I was delighted that the PR company that organised it are interested in my bears too!!

It was a joy to work with Lucie and Oliver...I was proud of their talent and professionalism..and makes you think you must have done something right somewhere along the line!!

I hate to disappoint Dilu...but the models are all heading for University...one is to be a doctor..the other is studying maths, biology, physics and geography at 'A' level..also heading for uni' and the third one parents are both high flying teachers ..and she's a bright girl too....studying 4 'A' levels and with her sights on great things!! I always hope they'll be dim and nasty...to make up for their lucky draw on the looks side...but nope...they're bright, nice and gorgeous to boot..

Don't it make you sick!!!

Your daughter is very talented--wow bear_shocked I didn't know hair could do all that. My only stylist these days is the Force of Gravity!

Are those girls

real

? Notice the green for envy?

But it's the house . . . just too wonderful for words.
