Daily Doubles started here...Football practice TWICE a day...7 am - 10 am and then again from 5 pm to 7:30 (more like 8 pm) for the next two weeks.  However, rumor and I strongly say rumor, is that Taylor may get bumped up to Varsity...as a sophomore which is very exciting.  He's mixed...varsity would be great in terms of "status & respect" but probably less playing time where JV he would probably play most of the game.

And...I'm (well I'm not doing it) working on my website...it's true...really this time...no kidding.

And just general busy-ness.

I'm working on an open mouthed bear too, but I love doing it bear_tongue ! Before that I was redoing my "studio".
That was a huge undertaking but I am so pleased with the result! I made a whole online photo album on Shutterfly documenting it (including some scary before pictures) but you have to send share "invitations" to folks emails, you can't just send a link. So I'll do my best to include some pictures here (my first time). I'll have to figure a way to show the Shutterfly album for the before pictures...It really is quite a transformation. I truned my old "bear room" into an office for my husband, and moved my stuff downstairs. Now my bear stuff is all in the same place, bear_laugh YAY!

Great sewing room, Tami! Tell me you cleaned the room up for the photos (or hadn't started using it yet!) - NO ONE could keep a work room that spic and span - could they?????   I just covet your thread holder - that alone would tidy up my room a lot!

Nervecentre.jpgHoneythunder3.jpgInprogress.jpgTami, I meant to say hi a few days ago, but time ran away without me!  Your bears are gorgeous and your workspace looks so neat!

I've just managed to transfer some pics I took a couple of days ago to my computer, so now that viewers have left, here they are!  First is my 'work in progress' shot ... as you can see, I do much of my work on the living room floor!  Then we have a pic of one of the bears I have since completed from the pieces on the floor!  Finally, this is my 'nerve centre'!  What is lovingly known as my office and where if you look carefully, you can make out Tami's TT pictures on the computer screen!  I'm sat here right now!  bear_original

OK, as good as it feels to hear you all say how neat and tidy I am bear_laugh  bear_laugh  bear_laugh , I feel I should introduce you to the "real me".
You are right, Edie, the photos were taken before I'd actually worked in my new bear room! Although, I have been keeping it much cleaner then the old bear room, as it really helps to have  PLACES to put stuff away.
Here is a link to my Shutterfly picture site. You will have to put in my password  (tambear) to be able to see any albums, but then you can click on the Studio Project album and view it as a slide show. Then you'll see how I really work--BUT people can change and I'm really trying!

I finally finished this open mouth bear...he's huge for me ..over 21 inches!!  But I have to find an easier method...my method works but my goodness does it take forever...hence why I don't rush into doing them often!!! But anyway..here's what I did today..his name is Bert by the way....

Tami,
I love your workroom-I want one bear_cry
I can just about see your cat peeking through the catflap-wasn't he allowed in for the photo shoot?
Paula,
You look nicely organized too.At the moment I am busy trying to keep my house tidy with the children home from school-just think if I had a workroom I could lock myself away  bear_whistle
I have been busy all afternoon enlarging patterns for a 23 inch bear-I was starting to think that maybe I should make smaller bears then everything would be scaled down including the mess. bear_grin

That's a relief to hear, Tami - after seeing your workroom shots, and Paula's neat as a pin work space, I was starting to get quite a complex!

OK, here are the "before" photos of my "bear room" . This was the room I used which had no storage at all and it was always a mess. I thought I was a hopeless slob bear_ermm , but I was able to clean up once I had a place for my stuff!

Hi, Tami-with-an-"I" Lahey! This is Tami- with-an-"I" Eveslage!
Berwyn is precious from his delicate wings to his curly toed shoes!
I also really like the ribbon treatment you have done on your avitar nbear's neck and on some of the bears on your website. Do you wrap ribbon around a book or something, and then stitch through it? It's a lovely effect.

Tami...you're a woman after my own heart...that work room..(the before picture!!!) is so gratifying. I thought I was the only one!!!

I like the after picture too..in my dreams that's how I would be..and it is like that when my husband moans so much that I have to tidy up....but it never takes long to get messy again!

I just get too involved in what I am doing to be tidy.

Jenny, Tami, beautiful work!  Jenny, that open mouth is so clever!  No wonder it takes you ages to create.  It's worth it though!

Tami E, your workspace 'before' shots, remind me of my daughter's bedroom!  She loves to paint, do tapestry, rubber stamp work, jewellery making ... you name it!  She gets so engrossed in what she's doing, she buries herself in there amongst all the bits 'n pieces!  I'm afraid I'm a real tidy freak and have to clear up as I go along, especially these days as I work from home (used to have a lovely workshop, but it went with the husband!) and don't have a separate workroom any more, so I spread between the living room and my kitchen table for my bear-making.  I'm planning a proper Paula workspace when I move in a few weeks and can't wait to get myself all organised!!

Oooooh......all these pics of workrooms!!  I can't wait until mine's finished and I can "move in"! bear_grin   And all the bears pictured are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!  Love them! bear_wub

As for what I'm doing today, well...........cleaning up after the drywallers.......STILL.........and painting, painting, painting.  YUK!!  I'm sick of it already and I've only just finished painting the master bath!  I think it's painting the primer that I really don't like.....it splatters everywhere until I'm coated with the stuff.  I do like putting color on my walls......that's fun!! bear_grin

Thanks Tami,
I have done that with some ribbon treatments wrapping it and sewing it in place for a collar, I am a ribbon freak, I love to make ribbon roses so I have tonsssssssss of it.
I also have bought it already wrapped that way, kinda expensive but I buy it when it is on sale.  bear_original
