It's not a great picture but I had to snap these two naughty dogs, Lizzie and Lottie...banished to their basket by my husband after catching the two of them digging a hole in the wettest muddiest bit of our garden.

Here are my 2 watching todays thunderstorm out of the french windows!! They were unhappy as Mummy shut the gate to the muddy grass!!!
Funny thing is my sister-in- law is called Lizzie and her daughter my niece is Lottie !!!

This reminds me of a story about my aunt and her friend Phyllis. Phyllis was a perfectionistic, well dressed, not a hair out of place sort of woman. In other words, really snooty. When my aunt went to a lucheon at a friends house, Phyllis was there all her decked out in all her fine glory. Well the hostess had a dog and somewhere in the middle of this event everybody heard "slosh, slosh, slosh....lap, lap, lap" in the bathroom. Well the hostess went in to the bathroom and yell at the dog to get out of the toilet. Clapping her hands at the same time as she is chastising the dog. Well.....the dog came barreling out of the bathroom, wet and dripping with toilet water and spotted Phyllis....He decided she looked like loads of fun and leaped up on her lap and started licking her...Phyllis was appalled and shock....my aunt could barely contain herself....this emaculate friend in designer clothes getting toilet- watered soak from a dog who was just being himself....

Lizzie is the dirtiest dog ever....she digs with with her nose as well as her paws!!!
Claire your dogs are adorable...mine were so scared during the storm and Lizzie shakes from head to toe..I dread the fireworks on Guy Fawkes night.
I wish they would ban it.

LutonI think I have the weirdest dogs on the planet - when bonfire night comes after the first few bangs which they bark at, they tend to sit by my french windows and watch the fireworks.
I think they think its all very interesting!
I know alot of other dog owners who are not that lucky and have some very unhappy dogs at that time of year.
Also where I live the Hindus celebrate Divali which usually means fireworks for a month!!!
