I have just sold my first bear from my website. Have been selling on e-bay but this is the first from the website.
The little bear will be living in Kuala Lumpa, Malaysia. I am so stoked.
Yeah! That is so exciting! Congrats!

 Thats great news Denise, congratulations.
It was also lovely to meet you yesterday as well.
Karen, it was great to meet you too.
Hubby and I are off on a caravan trip on Friday to S.A for a caravanners rally.
We are meeting people that my husband chats to on a caravanners forum. It is so nice to meet the people that we have been chatting with online. We feel that we know them well even though the majority we have never met.
Just like the teddy forums.
Thanks for the thoughts Arieanna.

Here's another aussie jumpin' for joy Denise ...
and it wasn't even my sale!
I have come down to earth now. Hayley, my hubby reckons I should have a table at the next bear show BUT, my confidence is not that high after seeing all of yours and others at Springvale. Although I haven't decided not to, but have sent to the maybe part of my brain......think about it Denise...
Congratulations Denise !!!!
How exiting !!!!!
Denise,
When I did my first show in May, I shared a table with Karen (Rufnut Teddies) and some of the girls from TT by proxy. It made a big difference to my confidence and I'm sure Karens too, to have each other there for support. Maybe that's an option for you for May? I'm sure there is someone 'out there' who would love to share with you. As for your teds be good enough...they are WAY cute and I'm sure you would have no trouble selling them. You have a few months to toy with the idea and get used to it...and to prepare!
Don't go waiting until you think you are good enough...I don't think I am either...and then some sweet person like you makes a comment like you did above and absolutely makes my day!
Don't forget too that at a show, collectors have so many bears to choose from, so if you don't sell one on your first try it isn't a reflection on your work. It's hard to swallow, but if you are keen you will try again and you will succeed. Different styles of bears appeal to different people...you just have to get the compatible ones together.
Thanks Hayley, May could be an option. Will keep in touch with you on how to get a table, costs and all that sort of stuff.
Thanks for the information and the boost to my confidence. Must make a trip to the Island and catch up with you before Christmas.
Denise go for it ... share a table or ask to be close to someone you know. Like Hayley said, it does wonders for your confidence.
I've been doing shows for ten years now and I still like to be near someone I know so I can have a bit of a chat and catch up on things if the show gets a bit quiet. Specially when doing a new show...just ask Karen ... I asked to be next to her at Woodend!
If you don't do it, you'll always wonder "what would have happened if I had done it?" And let's face it, no-one's gonna turn you into a green tree frog!
Big hugs,
