On my way to pick up my grandson from daycare, I decided to stop and get some  U.S. money exchanged and as I tried to open the bank door, there was a rattled looking lady quickly trying to lock it.  The person I had passed on the way into the bank had just robbed it!  He apparently said he had a gun in his pocket but no one saw it.  Two customers chased him and got the car type and color and the direction he was headed.  I'm so inattentive, I couldn't have told you if the person I passed was male or female, but I'm glad I missed that one!

I believe you are right, Michelle.  The more I think about it, the more rattled but more fortunate I feel.  I actually brushed up against the robber, but was busy digging for my bank card and never looked up.  It wasn't until I saw the look on the lady's face, trying to lock the bank door, that I realized something was really wrong.  Boy, timing is everything, as they say LOL!  Oh, and I've eaten enough chocolate tonight for probably everyone.

How very scary Brenda - so glad that you missed the bank robbery.

Glad that you have had your share of chocolates. You would need something to calm yourself
down after that!

Oh Brenda you were lucky.....but he sounds like he was one of those robbers who would have been so quite,it woulldn't have been too bad. I was held up 7 times when I worked in a bank. In the last one I got so angry that I started throwing the rolls of coin at him when he demanded the money. I stood there shouting at him and hurling the rolls of coin...no noes.... in the end he cut and run for safey.....and boy ....he was less scary than the cops when they turned up and tore strips off me.

The more "professional" quiet robbers and actually quite good in comparison to the hyper scared ones, Believe me....and even though I faced them I could NEVER give a good description...thank goodness I nearly always remembered to activate the cameras otherwise I think my bosses would have done more damage.....

So don't have nighmares about it.........while robbery is never good....you missed a professional "safe" one by the sounds of it....which is basically what I'm trying to say.

You can send yourself  nutty if you think about the "what might have beens".

Sandra, thanks for the info on robberys and I do believe what you say about the "safe" type of robbers.  When talking to the bank staff, I don't think they believed he had a gun in his pocket, but who's going to risk it.   He didn't seem nervous at all and was very soft spoken, so he's probably done this before.  I just think it's kind of funny, as we recently moved from a small town of about 5000 to this sleepy town of about 2500 and my first day down town, this happens.   I am very glad I didn't have our two year old grandson with me - that would have rattled me for sure.

                                       hugs,

                                       Brenda
