I want to make a Tu Tu like ballerinas wear. The ones with loads of layers of net. Anyone here know how to do it. I would be very grateful.

Jane.

bear_laugh Jane,

I've only made tutus for my kids' Halloween costumes, but it's not hard. You need to gather-stitch several layers of tulle, and then squash them down tightly into some kind of waistband--that's the only hard part, but the wider the waistband, the easier it is to squash the layers! I've had better luck with cut circles of tulle than with long strips. When you gather the strips, they tend to turn downward.

Thanks for the advice... I am going to make a teddy ballerina soon and this advice will help!
