....  I've tried to tell him Purina sometimes doesn't leap the Pond, but you know Cats...they just stare at you blankly like the wall.... And he insists on this one..... its a cat food plug if you can imagine

Okay, Mister Mister is an outdoors cat (that was a kitten when first determined to stick around last December). We've offered the usual dried kitty food, and Fancy Feast Chum just to keep him up to enough energy to keep warm over winter. Then in the Spring he showed enough interest to claim our property as 'his'. Non neutered boyo, suddenly became nuetered and with the oneset of 100* plus degree temps over summer he was quickly weaned from canned food to just plain dried food. Much safer for all, as he could nibble when he wanted.

This fall, Mister actually got a mailing of his own!!! Purina, makers of Fancy Feast were offering a fancier offering.... an "Elegant Melodies" in a pretty shiny tin. Oh it was a posh showing of a regular soft cat food. I didn't think much of it, but offered to Mister and he inhaled it!  Now at first, I thought it was because he was hungry for soft cat food. But after two days....yes, I'm dead serious on this...TWO days, his fur was softer and shinier than I'd ever seen!

Yes...the foot is mine  LOL..

Mister's always been a lightweight. I've put that down to genetics and a bad case of worms brought on by flea infestation when he was a kitten. He's been getting this new Elegant Medley's, and inhaling every version offered, and he's not only got shiney fur, but he's growing  This cat only tipped the scales at 8 lbs 5 ounce for his nuetering! and down to 8 lbs even for the summer....he's got a *chest* now ...and its getting broader, the whole cat is getting chunkier now!  He's enthusiastic about the food, but I do seriously say its down to the food that he's been gaining so much weight and doing so well. He's my only cat, but I'd recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone who has a cat!!

The photo is of Mister this summer, slimline version that is

bear_laugh  I didn't have much choice in the matter...he adopted us!  Point of fact, he IS incredibly friendly so that helps megga.  He is such a love  bear_wub and brightens my day.  Its only the huge change in him, that's prompted me to post about the food.

Such a lovely shoe, my dear!

You are hearing about this way before I ever did, and I've 2 little ragamuffins who get a teaspoon of Fancy Feast every noon, to go with the their dry formula.  I shall keep an eye open wandering the grocery store and try the new stuff as soon as it hits our backwoods market.

Kwatzu and Suki thank you....

And yes, you are correct, it is easier to navigate the store with one's eyes open.  Perhaps i should do this more often.  Who knows what I've been missing?  Another coloquialism.....I seem to be up too eary to make sense.

Thank you to Mister for the 2 paws up!

Hey Debbie, Hows Mister doing?  Will he eat anything else now or just the new Fancy Feast?

bear_laugh He's trying to be a total snob with his dry food, but I'm holding out....He's only getting one can of the posh soft food a day, plus dry food.  I figure as our temperatures begin to drop, so will his standards  bear_happy   A cat's gotta stay warm!   (yes, cruel mum that I am!)  bear_tongue

Ours too!

I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for that food.  I have been feeding our new kitty a bargain brand tin food and he seems to love it...but then he was a feral barn cat so anything would be good to him.

This is strange:  Our kitty, Shamu takes flying leaps as if he is trying to catch something that is not there.  And the energy this cat has......I wish I had some of that!

bear_wub Awwwhhhh that pic of Shamu is priceless!!  bear_wub   What a lucky, lucky kitten.

You know, Mister does that 'leap at nothing' thing too!   bear_ermm   Made me wonder at first, but he's so full of himself, wanting to play.  I think its a joie de vie....and yes, I'm wishing I could have some too!  bear_happy   Could do with that natural 'bounce' again!

Debbie, I just noticed your photos of the cat food tin.  How pretty!

You know what's scarey ...I think canned dog and cat food smells really good!   eeewwwweee!!!!

LOL...well you should see this new gourmet catfood...It *does* look and smell yummy, BUT I learned as a kid that dog food does not taste as good as it smells  bear_laugh  bear_tongue
