I am looking for a medium size panda pattern. I wish him to be chubby and be a more real looking type panda.
I would like to buy the pattern as a surprise xmas gift for my bear buddy friend.
A critter that would take a fat 1/4 to a 1/2metre of fabric.
Any help to send me in the right direction to find this pattern would be a great help.
Thankyou
This is Linda Benson's Panda. I hope she doesnt mind me popping his pic up.
This is the type of Panda Beryl would like to do as her project next year.
I wpould just love to surprise her with a pattern that is similar.
He certainly is a cuddly looking wee darling , is'nt he??
Thankyou everyone
Cool Wendy, let me know if you find one too, my mom loves Panda's and I have been looking to make her one for Christmas!!!
Hugs,
Krista
Will let you Krista if and when I find one
Toby, I'll go check it out. Thankyou
PLEASE!!! did you see one advertised in a mag some where? on sale at a show. ?
Did you pass a lady in the street who at that very moment had a panda pattern jump out of her shopping bag onto the pavement. ? Who was this lady? what was she wearing? what colour was her hair? how tall was she? what street was this on? More importantly ! did you get a glance at the name of the designer on the pattern cover?
Have you never seen one??
Please dont say I have to design one myself. My proto types always come out looking weird.
Is there no glimmer of hope on my horizon?? help please
PLEASE HELP
You know, I had one, once upon a time. Lemme look around and see if I still have it here somewhere.
Mindy
Wendy---you are too funny!!!! But, I have always wanted to sew a panda that looked real...So I will ride on your coat tails and if somebody can direct you to a good pattern, I may want to make one too.....
Michelle
Wendy,
Paddy Panda by Jeanne Klein is a 16" pattern that could be modified to get you close to the look you want. Edinburgh sells it for $6.50. Years ago, I made it out of rabbit fur and it came out really nice.
Donna
Mindy thankyou. I will PM you
Donna I will go and have a look now, thankyou
Krista and Michelle, I will let you both know when I hear something positive.
  I'm so eagerly excited
I popped into Ed Imports. I found one named IVY 16" by B. Irwin Bears
Its not what I'm looking for but it is one great looking Panda.
I will show Berly tomorrow and see what she says. It will probably be' nay'.
I am still looking folks.
cheers Wendy
OK, here's what I found. I have three patterns.
This one was designed by Donna Wilson and is 12 inches tall. I've also seen it made in pink/white and blue/white, and it's very cute.
This one is more old-fashioned. It was designed by Wendy Meagher and is 18 inches tall.
Finally, we have Mary Daub (Wimberly)'s version. This bear is 17inches tall.
If one of these will help you, send me your mailing address and I'll send you a copy of the pattern and instructions. (They're kind of a pain to scan and e-mail, so I'd rather do it by regular post.)
