Yesterday it was brought to my attention that it is getting a wee bit gloomy for the TT'ers in the northern hemisphere. So I did go forth yesterday with my camera to capture my town on an ordinary day.
The corrella(the white one) and the galahs were feeding by the footpath next to the Rockingham school.
They keep a wary eye on you but rarely move. There is usually mobs of them but not when you want to take pics. Have you ever seen a more beautiful sky??
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!
Great pictures Wendy! The Galah's are beautiful and that fountain is amazing!!
You 'ere again???
My goodness you are quick
LOL, don't miss a bloody thing me!!
Wow, Wendy. you live in a beautiful place. I want to come visit. I've never heard of those birds before. I'll bet there are lots of critters down under that I've never heard of. Did you see my turkeys in your other thread?
I didnt check my emails first ,. So thanks for the reminder Patty. These turkeys would make me a little nervous I think. I believe I would rather walk pass a mob of emus than your turkey mob.
Beautiful kangaroo paw. Hope to get over to the west one day to see the wildflowers, hear they are a wonder to see..
I can't believe birds like that are just flying around somewhere in the world! We see birds like that only at zoos or in cages here. In our skies, it's just crows. Oh, and red-tail hawks. THEY'RE really beautiful, but rare to see. Not so much the vultures that also live nearby. Ew.
Those skies ARE gorgeous, as is the metal sculpture. Beautiful!!!
PS We're having our first rainy day of the season today and I'm feeling a bit gloomy indeed so thanks very much for the timely pickmeup.
Oh, gorgeous!! I wish I had fabulous pics to take and show everyone ere on TT. I can show you all the plain brown sparrows that have all but taken over our birdfeeder in our microscopic yard.

Yes it is hot here now. the rains have finished here in WA for now unfortunately. It is either cool and raining or dry and hot. A lot of the time you cant tell the difference
Australia has been in a drought now for absolute years. My goodness, if only it would rain in the interior.
In WA we have a saying......"there are only two states that make up Australia. The West and the Rest" hehehehe
Well we think its funny........
I took some more flower pics, I will pop them on tomorrow. bye for now. I'm off to Fremantle to see the movie 'Boytown'. Its about a boys group that gets back together when they are in their 40's. It's an Ausssie movie and looked hilarious in the promos cant wait to see it.
spotya's!!!Wendy
Oh Wendy - gorgeous photos - I love how your share your city! I would love to visit WA!! One day one day! Do let me know what you thought of Boy Town. I think it looks great, but my brother reckons there have been bad reports about it. But he reckons the same about every aussie production!!!!!

Beautiful pictures Wendy! What a wonderful 'pick me up'......our weather is turning to the cold side........about the same as Michelle's Minnesota. Ick! I often wonder why I live in Iowa
.........
thanks for rubbing it in that our weather is now turning gloomy  The high today is expected to be about 7 C with 30% chance of snow tonight! The majority of our birds have flown the coop for the winter although the blue jays are mobbing the feeders. We still have some geese that stay around for the winter but our pigs are leaving for their winter vacation this Sunday.
I can see an Aussie bird every day but he's living in my living room (cockatiel)!
