I posted a couple of weeks ago about my sewing machine dying a watery death.  There was a leak in the stoage closet from the shower pipe.  Don't ask!  I live in a converted barn!  My land lady blamed my husband for the damage so she wouldn't have to replace my machine!  ooooohhh was I mad!  Well I came home the other day to see a mini sewing machine on the sofa.  He didn't like seeing me upset so he surprised me!  What sweet little things do your hubbies do?

Call me 4 times in an hour while I'm half way across the country doing a bear show to tell me the dog threw up and what should he do... where is the spray... what if he does it again?

However, when I got home my SUV-on-steroids had new rims and tires and new brakes AND he'd done his laundry!

Today was our anniversary.  My hubby brought me breakfast in bed, then this evening took me to The Melting Pot restaurant for a delicious fondue meal.  (The best part was the dessert.  Chocolate/marshmallow fondue with strawberries, pineapple (my fave), brownies, cheesecake, bananas.  YUMMY ! ! !   If you have a Melting Pot nearby, you've got to try it.

He also brought me breakfast in bed last week on my b'day, along with a beautiful boquet of flowers.

Yep, I'm a lucky girl.

mine spent all day in the soaking rain putting up an antennae/flag pole in front of our house, so that I can have a flag fly AND get radio inside the golly house....

because of the rebar we can't get anything right now.....

I think that's so very sweet that your hubby went out on his own and did that...mine would be afraid of a sewing machine retailer.  He'd get talked into buying anything...hmmmmm wait a minute, mental note...send hubby off to shop, call ahead..make sure he gets the best

No, the best thing my hub does right now is simply 2 words:  "hot towel".  It's getting cold here now and I'm spoiled with a nice warm towel fresh out of the dryer.  Not all week, because we have slightly different schedules, but on the weekends I get a nice warm towel after a shower.  Highly advise it, nothing better, it's the best.  Can't have a bad day after a soft toasty warm towel. bear_original

Oh, you lucky girls....Like Penny, my husband comes home every night and loves me for who I am. He forgets about birthdays, never buys me presents or flowers. Breakfast in bed? No, not that either.

Anyway , that is all not important as he lets me act on my every whim. He has always been supportive of every new idea, has always been behind every decision I made for 100%. He is very proud of what I am doing and that to me is the most important thing. I buy my own presents now and my flowers as well, which can be a good thing as he can not give me the wrong things either or buy me anything too cheap bear_laugh

Sounds like we have the same husband....I sometimes feel neglected when a friend mentions the terrific things her husband does for her birthday but overall - I much prefer him like he is...most of the time... and actually, sometimes he actually does surprise me with a special present!

Well, my Paul is very sweet to go to all my shows with me and help . . . which I appreciate very much.  He did forget our last anniversary - this past Oct. 24th, but after 42 years of marriage, I say "oh well".  Plus, he likes that I pick out my own presents and give them to him to give to me . . . for whatever special occasion.  So I picked out extra nice presents for my anniversary - since he forgot!  Hmmmm . . . I need to start thinking about my Christmas gifts.

Ellen and Marion: I've been with Michael for 21 years....and he is the same as your husbands. I feel lucky  because he supports everything I do. He never gets upset with me buying things.  One night I came home and announced I got offered a promotion and it means moving to Minnesota (we lived in Florida). He said "I'll go anywhere you want, if it means being with you". This from an ex-Marine. He gave up his job to be with me in Minnesota. So he forgets birthdays and stuff. I don't care, I buy my own presents like Ellen. At least I get what I want and he is happy because he does not have to agonize over buying something I might hate.

Good men come in different packages....

Glenn gives me cooking free Sundays...he cooks brunch (bacon, eggs & mushrooms) and a bbq dinner.
Helps me do all my shows & makes all my wooden accessories for the bears.
Is my most avid supporter of my passion...bears.
Buys me flowers and chocolate for no occasion.
Always remembers my birthday and our wedding anniversary...takes me out to dinner on both.
AND he's good lookin' to boot!

So generally I'm spoilt rotten!!!

Hubby can be very caring and considerate but I did have to train him to be that way bear_whistle
I do choose my own presents like you do Ellen as the last xmas present he chose for me was an electric toothbrush and as I had spent the last year going to the dentist on numerous occasions with fillings falling out and abcesses etc I think even though he was trying to be thoughtful I don't think that was the type of present I wanted.Nowadays I just say this is what I am having for xmas etc even if it is a bit pricey and I must say I have been happy with my presents xmas morning ever since bear_grin
