Hi guys.  I just wanted to share with you that I have been asked to design the 2007 Theodore Society Bear.  bear_original  bear_original  bear_original  It didn't take long for me to say "Yes"!  I am honored more than I can say.

Now I have to come up with a bear design that is manufacturable.  I won't be able to do needle felted details but my the wheels in my head are turning fast with ideas.

This bear will be manufactured by Cooperstown Bears in a limited edition of around 250 to 300 bears.

What would you guys like to see.  Something traditional or something cutsie like a roly poly chubby baby bear?  I am thinking of creating a simple outfit, like a knitted romper....hhhmmm not sure.

What do you think?  My dealine is Dec 15th.

Also, I have a some really exciting news coming up for early 2007 ...but I don't want to spill the beans just yet and  it's part of the reason I have not been posting much....I have been busting my tail to meet this deadline...and I am so pleased it is finished and I am very pleased with the outcome.  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower

I have "bears on the Brain" syndrome rigth now....and I think this is the best chronic condition one can have.

Congrats Judi...well deserved I might add.  But what is it with all the teasing going on here on TT these days.  First it's Aleta with her buying bits and bobbles and now Judi...who's next?  Now stop it...I can't take the pressure...patience is NOT one of my better virtues.

Judi, That is so wonderful!   I think one of your cuddly cub like bears would be so cool. Your Hayden won the Steiff North American Design contest didn't he? Did they make him yet?

Thank you very much ladies.   I am leaning towards chunky baby bear.  Thank you for your comments.

Tami E. Yes, my Hayden's Cub did win first place in the Steiff contest( and so thrilled that you remembered  ) but the bear that won Grand Prize, Sun Anne's "Dallas",is the one to be manufactured.  They told me that they may want to use Hayden's Cub a down the road.  I miss that bear and I still have to pinch myself when I think about the phone call I received from Steiff.  I entered not giving it much of a second thought and was totally caught by surprise.

HHHMMMM Secrets...yes....they can be annoying can't they?!  I should just tell you...but I am not sure if I am supossed to yet.  Don't want to get my paws slapped.  bear_grin

Ah, Judi . . . isn't it a terrific thrill to be chosen to design the Theodore Society's membership bear?  Big congratulations!  My design was selected for the 2005 membership bear, "Bayley", and I felt so very honored.  Whatever you come up with will be wonderful and I'll look forward to getting my bear in 2007.  Will be my very first Judi designed bear - hooray!!
