Everyone is having end of year bashes for work and friends so how bout it since this is a huge part of most of our lives? Like a fuzzy slipper night but we can call it our TT Christmas party :bday: Dumb idea? :redface:

Hey my work hours always take in midnight Aussie time......sick Dad and 6 year old daughter, making bears, writing about bears and generally doing wife things and Mum things. Plus I'm still in my walking boot due to ruptured ligaments....so everything takes twice as long.....who gets to bed??? Not me!! Just make sure the liquid flows my way and that spell check is working :dance: :dance: :dance:

Well, we won't find a time that EVERYONE is up... that's nearly impossible!
But we have mostly Oz, US, Canada & the UK to consider.

Still there is a huge time difference! Could we have a 12 hour party so everyone has a chance to participate at the some point? I know it's a LOOOOONG party but it would be great to leave no one out!! Perhaps even some of our beloved lurkers will join in to share in the holiday cheer here on TT??

Here is what I could come up with... mind you I've been up for about 20 minutes this am and have not had coffee yet!!

noon-midnight Eastern in US/Canada
9am-9pmPacific in US/Canada
5pm-5am in UK
approx 8am-8pm OZ

I think I got all the time zones figured out right?!?????? Did I?

I realize this doesn't give the folks in England nearly as long to participate but I couldn't figure out a better way.

You all can tell me to go back to bed and stay out of this if you'd like!! bear_ermm

I should think it would be easiest to have one thread here on the General Discussion forum for everyone to post to. That's how we've done it for Fuzzy Slipper night and also how other forums do it. Having a separate chat room steers folks away from TT which is not the idea. Unless, of course, Master Quy can make us a chat room lickety split! bear_original

I'm in. Getting the hair and eyebrows tinted at 10.am on that day but will come and join the party after lunch...

I'll bring some red.... merlot tastes nice. and I will bring some nibblies. I have never been to a 12 hour party before, it sounds like a lot of fun... won't be cooking tea that night ....
