My website, without a doubt.
Website now... but I built that collector base thru eBay and Bearpile...
Hi
My own Teddy Shop - The Little Shop of Bears, followed closely by my website which has proven to be well worth while, and not forgetting Bearpile which is worth the subscription fee.
My work is my sole support so I'm very careful about how I sell. I have found that it's pretty evenly divided; shows/galleries/internet. I'm very careful about which designs I offer to each venue. For example; my galleries get exclusive designs sold only to them. Also, I usually introduce my newest designs at my shows so that collectors have a reason to venture out for a visit It's a tricky balance but I feel it helps to have more than one way of selling especially in this economy. Besides, it keeps me on my toes

You're definitely right there Karen .. a balance is essential! I sell most work from my website, but use it to draw people to the shows I exhibit at too by previewing new designs which debut at the shows. It seems to work.
I really feel it's essential to keep a broad overview of the market and not stick to just one means of selling. It's easy to become complacent and no-one can afford that!
right here on Teddy Talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had success on e-bay and also I do about 4 craft markets each year and do reasonably well at these too.
I have only sold a couple directly from my website. As we holiday in our caravan quite a bit I take a small range of bears with me and have sold most of the ones that have travelled with us.
