What a tap dancing dude!!! I'm sure Gene Kelly is pleased!
I LOVE PADDINGTON!!!
Thank you for the link Jane  Its really made my day.
My son and I love Paddington, and loved the movie, that was so sweet to share it.
here is the paddington I made, he now lives in Japan and he is about what the book showed as his size. I made a smaller version for my son, because he didn't realize I was going to sell him and he cried when I was boxing him up
That is adorable Jane, thankyou, Thats one of my favouritist movies ever too
Sarah I am in love with your fairy bears , I love fairies and everything that goes with them and your bears really capture the spirit of the fairy. Really great job!!!!!!! And all the colors are so cool. In our town we have a luminary thing at a big old mansion and through the woods it looks magical and they encourage all the little girls to dress like fairies and even the older girls do it too. It is my favorite day of the summer. Thanks so much for bringing up that warm summer evening memory on this really bitter cold Indiana day.

I'm so glad I could bring back happy memories for you, what you describe sounds wonderful, I would love to be a part of it, how inspiring It warms my heat that this kind of magical spirit is being kept alive by young and old...and through teddy bears too...aren't they terrific
and so enduring with all the glitter and fluff I shower them with

Hi Sarah, this is a picture of my niece and 10 year old son dressed up for the fairy event , it goes on for 3 days and it is so magical, the grounds that it is on, are beautiful and they do a wonderful job making it look magical, my son did not want to dress up I had to bribe him, sometimes it stinks not to have girls My husband got eye strain from rolling his eyes at me, when I was selling the idea of dressing up to my son, but once he got there he had a great time. My nieces were here from florida, the 13 year old was so excited, I tried to talk the 16 yr old into doing it but she was "too cool" to ever do it, but once she got there and everyone was taking her sisters picture she kept telling me, if we come back when this is on again could I make her a costume. Ahhhhh magical things really did happen there
There are even older women who dress up , I want to be a fairy!!!!!
See how much your fairy bears look like the pictures, again thank you so much for bringing back that magical night.
Thank you for the kind words about Paddington and my baby bears, I like Winnie the Pooh, the original one from the books, but I Love Paddington more, for some reason.
Wow, I would so love to be there. You're nice looks beautiful, like she could fly away at any moment, and isn't your son a cutie, so funny the things we make our kids do Oh you should dress up too, that would be so much fun, I don't think you're ever too old to be a fairy ;)
thanks so much for the pictures
How about ever too fat, I don't think they make wings big enough to get this butt of the ground, hmmmm maybe I will be a gnome.
Oh, Jodi I remembered that bear on ebay! Great Job! I was a huge Paddington fan as a kid and have just recently started reading the series aloud to my kids. I want to make a Paddington "life sized" too someday. I expect I will keep him!
Tami, They are a great book series to read to the kids, he is so silly and the kids really connect with that, Thanks so much for the kind words about my Paddington, he was so fun to make, I got his hat at Goodwill, which is a store that takes donations and sales it, then uses the money to help people with special needs. I found the old looking suitcase at Hobby Lobby, which if you watch you can get it really cheap when they start marking stuff down. If you do make one, please post it, I would love to see it.

Jodi, actually, every time I go to Hobby Lobby and see those old looking suit cases, I think of making my Paddington someday!!!!
