Any one else out there having this problem ?
Yep found the same thing happened to me. I changed the template and now dont have as any problems.
I still am unable to download photos from my album pages. I do them one by one in edit on my home page then go into edit on my album page and pop them in .
Are you sure you mean page? do you maybe mean' paragraph'?
Have you 'refreshed' your pages since the update?
I found lots of stuff with my site just by shear accident.
Sorry I know I'm not much help but at least you know you arent alone.
Wendy
I use freewebs Jodi but I pay for it, the Premium service so I don't get their adds.
I have had no trouble at all, and am thinking that whenever I have problems on the internet it is usually that I need to clean out my files. You know all those cookies and things can mess up a computer ( chocolate is OK though
Try cleaning these files out and see if it helps.
I just asked my husband and he is playing STUPID !!! I asked him how do I clean out my files?? I go into properties and clean out temporary files all the time but what else ? I go through my pictures every once in a while and clear out those that I am not using but what else. I hate it . Some of my husbands abusive games is to not tell me things by playing dumb... makes me really mad !!! And he always does it with the things that are important to me. Wish I were rich , I would run away and take all my bearies with me !!! BOY can you tell I have just had it ?????
Hi Jodi, this is what I was told to do by ebay at one time when I was having trouble -
Most websites use cookies so that the next time you visit their site,
the site will "remember" you were there, and remember your preferences,
user name, and things like that. eBay uses cookies, but sometimes too
many outdated eBay cookies on your computer can cause you to have
problems viewing our site. It is always a good idea to delete them every
so often. Please be assured that this won't harm your computer at all.
Your "cache" is the local storage where copies of images and web pages
are kept on your computer's hard disk (or in its memory), so the next
time your browser needs an image or web page, it can get it from your
cache, which is much faster than downloading a new copy each time.
However, this cache gets full and can cause pages to load slowly or not
at all.
I've included instructions below on how to clear your cookies and cache.
This should help correct the problems you're experiencing. To delete
your eBay cookies for Internet Explorer and Windows Users please:
1. Go to your "Start" menu, found on your task bar.
2. Select the "Search" or "Find" option, and "Files or Folders."
3. Type in Cookies in the search box and make sure that your hard drive
(usually C is selected in the "look in field."
4. Once the search has completed, find the folder named "Cookies" and
double click it.
5. Lastly, delete all the files that have the word "eBay" in them.
To clear your cache in Internet Explorer please follow the directions
below:
1. Close all open browsers.
2. Click the "Start" button, and select "settings > Control Panel."
3. Choose "Internet Options."
4. On the "General" tab, click "Delete Files, being sure to click
"Delete all offline files"
5. Next, click on Clear History.
6. Click "OK" when you are asked to delete all the items in your History
folder.
If you have an older version of Internet Explorer, then the directions
will be a little different. However, the clear cache option is usually
under the "Internet Options" section.
On mine I put a tick in the box where it says to delete all temperary internet files.
Don't forget to sign in again to your favorite forums as I forgot to do this and wondered why I couldn't post
Awwww Jodi it sounds like you're having a really bad day I hope things improve for you soon...heres some hugs to help you feel better!!!
Hi Jodi,
I too have a freewebs website and I have also found it very temperamental. Some days are better than others.
I think sometimes it can be your computer and sometimes i think its the actual site.
Hugs
Claire
Hi Jodi,
I have experienced the same problems as you, but it seems most of the people have covered it well.
I've managed to get it down to a science. Just don't change your template, that seems to compound the problems.
All the best,
Penney
Got on today and still the same problems ... then all of the sudden it allowed me to do what I wanted !! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH How crazy is that ? But I don't trust it. I still haven't tried to go back in and edit. I just started a new page. But before this last time it would not let me do more than one picture then it would erase the whole page when I tried to add another sooooooooooooooooooooo who knows !!!! I will keep monkey rigging along !! Thanks guys !! I thought I was going crazy !!! WELL I AM but you know what I am saying
Hubby more quite today And I go to work soon till 8:30 PM so thats my day !!!
Hi Jodi
Like Chris, I use freewebs and I pay for the Premium service too. Never had any major problems that I couldn't deal with myself. Have changed templates a couple of times with very little problems.
I also do a cache clearance of everything at least once a week. It does mean re-entering passwords, but I don't worry about that as I like to change them frequently too.
Sorry not to be of any help other than to agree with Chris's advice. You could upgrade to Premium for a month and see if that makes any difference.
Hi Jodi, so sorry you're having all these problems...with both website & husband, they both can drive you nuts, especially the latter    ..
just a thought maybe you could try this site
Denise, do you use it for your web sight ? I looked and I could not tell. I like yours. It is simple like mine. Every once in a while free webs will work for me ... but something that should take 5 minutes ends up all evening doing it over and over until it will finally take what I put in . They want me to down load a different server and my husband says
because they used it at work and threw all the lap tops off and they had to be sent back to be worked on . So I don't know if he knows what he is talking about or not !! Usually does not ... but if I screw up the computer for my bear business I would never hear the end of it !!!
Jodi, I haven't used bravenet, but I saw it offered a free website and thought it might be better that freewebs...mine is very basic, my ISP offers it for free, and as you saw it's only got a couple of pages but it's all that I need, plus I don't think anyone looks at it anyway...I sell most of my bears on ebay ....maybe you should check with your server and see if they give you one for free...I think most do..
I started to make one from the freewebs awhile back but I got distracted and haven't been back to finish it...I get easily distracted...my age I suspect
Anyway goodluck I hope you work it out, I know how frustrating this stuff can get, it drives you nuts!
I don't have a "website" perse, but I did go the blog route with Typepad. I had a month free and now I am paying $8.95. But in the beginning I didn't know which route to take, blog or website. I finally decided on blog so I had freedom to change things everyday. I had a few problems in the beginning setting things up and everytime I sent them an email needing help I got an answer in less than 6 hours. It was personal and great instructions. They were awesome. I was just telling you this in case you were considering other avenues. I have been VERY happy with Typepad and their folks.
