CorellaforTTcorellas320-x-30.jpgCorellaforTTcorellacloseup.jpgCorellaforTTfeeddishwith28s.jpgCorellaforTTcorrellasinmygarden.jpgCorellaforTTbreakfastwindow.jpgThese two Corellas found the seed bells in the garden yesterday. It is the first time I have had Corellas in the garden. I got all excited and had to take pics. They came back again this morning.
They arent as skittish as the 28's(green parrots) They had no problem with me watching them.
So to all bird lovers out there here are some pics.
On some of the pics it is "spot the 28" they are so well camoflaged and they are not impressed with the Corellas invading their turf.

bear_thumb Thanks for sharing the pictures of the 2 Corellas, always exciting to see something new especially when they come into your garden. We also had a bit of excitement when a gang of Musk Lorikeets came into our garden, first time I have seen those but the biggest excitement is that we have a Major Mitchell Cockatoo hanging around and he is just so pretty. We think he must be an escapee as he is about 300 to 400k's off course. We were able to get up close and take a few pictures of him. I've nicknamed him 'Pinky' and I always know when he is around as his call is a cross between a Galah & Cockatoo.

Thanks for the lovely pictures girls!  I'd love to see my cats' reaction to those birds.  I can hear them now, "mum, what ARE they?" LOL!

I just love the Major Mitchell Lyn.   The Corellas are quite plentiful here in Rocky. They have a nesting ground down on the foreshore. Hundreds of them. But this is a first for my garden. They came by again this morning. So I gather I am now on the breakfast list.
I tried to pop a larger one of the 28's looking quite dainfully at the Corella's but for some reason it wouldnt load. ...MM???..
Two red tail black cockatoos flew infront of me on Wednesday morning while I was walking to the gym. They parked themselves in a gumtree and just watched me. You dont usually see them other than in big flocks fly by. Thats how we tell there is going to be rain over here. Great flocks of redtail blacks take to the air.
Kimberly when that Grotto is finished the Hummingbirds will make stopovers on the migration route. Now that would be quite spectacular.
Heather, Millie you are more than welcome to come and visit
