This is really one big cuddly bunny!!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!
He weighs in at 22 pounds and measures a little over 3 feet. He is a breed of rabbit called German Giant (how appropriate!). This is his owner, Hans Wagner, struggling to hold him up. From the NY Post article:
"We don't feed him an unusual diet," said Wagner. "He goes through more than his brothers and sisters, but he eats the same food mix. His favorite food is actually lettuce. He can never get enough of it."
LOOK AT THOSE FEET!

OK AUssies!! can you imagine having these rabbits jumping all over the country?
Crikey he's the size of a kangaroo!!!
WoW! those are big feet. I want to make a bunny with feet like that! Hehehe.
Yep, he is most definately real. We have a breed called British Giants here in the UK which are about 3/4 the size of this one. We had some when I was studying Animal Care at college and it felt like you was holding a toddler whenever you picked them up!! You should also see how much they eat....and poop!!
WHOA That's a big bunny!

   Crikey is right!! I think a rabbit like this would chase our barn cats.

Are they gentle like a lop eared rabbit? I have never seen anything like this before. I'd love to hold one.

The ones we had a college were both female and they used to bite! They also used to try and hump each other even though they were girls!! They were then spayed and became the most loving rabbits. You had to make sure they were well supported when you picked them up because if they panicked and kicked you, you certainly knew about it!! Female rabbits are known to be a bit tempremental because of hormones - males are much more laid back. I have a male rabbit who still has his 'bits' and he is the most friendly and loving rabbit you could ask for.....except when you stroke him under the chin for a while, he gets excited and tries to hump your arm!! .....thankfully he is only French Lop and not a British Giant!!
