I was stunned when our normal theater dropped Mimsy so fast  bear_shocked , and sooooooooo bummed  bear_cry   I guess it didn't do as well as they'd hoped.  (well it IS a college town, and it IS spring break...so what did they expect??)  I was pretty bummed, but decided, I'd just have to wait some more and finally catch Mimsy on video.

Hubby, bless his heart, saw how bummed I was.  He got on the computer and tracked down a theater playing it in Overland Park Kansas.  bear_wub  So we literally drove four hours round trip just to see this movie!  Daphne, you would have been proud ~ every single seat in the theater was packed...in fact, I think we had people standing in the aisle as well.

bear_wub Your Mimsy and Rhiannon were the stars of the film, no two ways about it!!!!   bear_wub   What a team!!!  I ADORE your Mimsy(s), probably moreso since I know all the heartache, and drama that went into getting that bunny onto the big screen, but I just have to say ~ she's beautiful!!!  You've pulled off the perfect job with her Daphne  Way to go

Awww, Debbie... I'm glad you loved it and it was worth the trip! I'd have felt horrible otherwise!
Some theaters have indeed dropped it already, others just seem to be playing it during the day.
I am so touched that you two went out of your way to see it!

It was MASSIVELY worth seeing!!!!   bear_wub  bear_wub   And HIGHLY recommend ANYone seeing it!!!!   bear_thumb   I'll cerrtainly be looking to add it to my video collection when it comes out too  bear_wub

Eliza, I'm actually no longer in Kansas...I live in the middle of Missouri, literally.  Its a speck of a place called Tipton, MO.  But we used to live in OP, KS for several years, and long, long, long time ago, I used to work for the Girl Scout camp to the south of Topeka.  Been ages since I've been to Lawrence proper, but used to love some of the shops and cafes.   bear_flower

I live in a seaside town called Weston super Mare, but probably the most famous place I'm close to is the village of Cheddar which is about 10 miles away, you'll have heard of that from the cheese I'm sure!!   My friend came over in the 80's as her dad was a teacher and the teacher's did an exchange so our teacher went to live in Kansas for a year, and they lived here for a year, that year went so fast!!   She has been back since, but I've yet to go there, I will get there one day...   bear_thumb

Where do your friends live?

Quite literally all over the UK  bear_laugh   I've friends near Cardiff, Brecon and North Wales, some near the borders, some in Surrey, some near Hertfordshire, some up in Lincoln and County Durham, and not to forget my Scots friends in Edin, Glasgow and near Kelso  bear_thumb   And that's just a dibble.  LOL...believe me, your eyes would glass over if I told you where all I've visited in the UK, but I ADORE the UK!!!  Its SUCH fun, and especially to be shown around by 'natives'... they know all the best watering holes you know  bear_whistle

I've heard of the exchanges where teachers and students get to come over to the US for a year.  I think its a brilliant program, as it allows the person plenty of time to get to explore the location better.   bear_flower
