I came across this group from MY Space yesterday, this group is trying to stop the animal testing from
this Huntingdon Life Sciences. This research center tortures these poor animals. Look at the pictures, I just cried last night
and I have been upset over this all day today. How can people do this. I'm doing some research on what products are tested there I will never purchase these products again and neither will my family and friends.
Win Animal Rights has declared W.A.R. on animal abusers and exploiters. W.A.R. is dedicated to aggressive direct action in the pursuit of animal liberation. http://www.war-online.org
One of W.A.R.'s most important campaigns is the Smash HLS (Huntingdon Life Sciences) campaign. HLS is a animal testing laboratory that is responsible for the death of 500 animals every day.

A friend on myspace has names of products that do test on animals on her profile so people are aware. I will forward her profile to you. I am constantly looking for products that do not test on animals. I think its cruel!
Hi Jenn yes please do!!!!
oh that makes me so mad when it comes to animal abuse!!! I just couldn't look at the pictures I really hope when their time comes that they feel every single pain that they have ever inflicted on an animal!
All of the abuse is dreadful..and wrong...we are having a major problem here lately...a stray dog...who was part of a killer pack...who killed dogs in our neighborhood...and belongs to no one any longer it seems...and has also tried attacking people...trying to constantly come on our property...after our chickens & goats & cat & our Puppy Herk ran off with this dog the other day...and was gone for much longer than was comfortable for us...keeps coming back & coming back...so now we have to hitch our puppy...so he won't follow this dog...this is not fair to our puppy or our kritters or us...and this stray is totally unapproachable...what would you do??? This is a dog who has gone totally wild & is dangerous...This is a very sad scary situation...
Regarding the feral dog....call the humane society, or your 'local' dog catcher. It is their responsibilty to remove the dog. If you are located in 'no man's land' I'm afraid you've only got the choices of live trapping or shooting it. Frankly, if you live trap it, you'll need to have a vet or someone on hand to put the dog down. After they've run feral and killed, they will continue to do so. It may seem very cruel to end its life with a bullet, but think of all the poor animals that have to suffer being mauled, or slowly dying from this particular dog. And you DEFINITELY do not want your puppy picking up this habit!!
As for the link, I couldn't look at the animal testing pics either. People that do this work on the premise animals have no soul, or that the animals were put on this earth just for humans to tinker with. Whatever the reasoning, its not very good reasoning, as many animals do not have the same reactions to products that humans have. Decent scientific testing for 'safety'? I don't think so...
Thanks Debbie,
We do live in "no man's land" and Animal Control has been called over & over in the past few years about these feral dogs & never caught a one...and usually doesn't even show up. Several neighbors have tried to catch this one & no luck. So our puppy thinks he is being punished now, because of having to be hitched. I hate this situation & when I think about the irresponsable pet owners in the world I get so mad!!! They rank right up there with the ones who use innocent kritters for testing torture!!!

Dog lovers everywhere will cringe, but do you have someone with a decent rifle and a scope? I do hate to say it, but it sounds like this one's too smart for anyone's good. The scariest part is that if its large enough to maul a sheep, you can be sure a human toddler will not make it through an attack.
I feel so bad for your puppy, and for you  But until this dog is caught, it will only be teaching your puppy to be just like it ~ which is not what you want. I truly despise people that let their dogs roam like this.... and don't even get me started on the 'oh its just playing with the horse, sheep, cow/calf' !!!
I know it will not be a popular thing with many folks, but my hubby & one of the neighbors who has 4 horses (one new foal) both have come to the conclusion that a food rifle & scope is the only answer in this situation:( This feral is getting more & more agressive recently, it even tried attacking a neighbor lady at the gate to our neighborhood, & she immediately bought mace.
The pictures above are the neighbors horse & her new foal hours after she was born &who is about 2 months old now. Our Puppy Herk playing with our Cat Onyx & our little goat herd, yes we let them out to graze almost daily:) but we stay with them...It's our favorite entertainment...watching them graze & play.
Hugs &
Better that the feral dog goes than all those other animals and people too. I knew it. Once they get a taste for blood, things just go very quickly downhill, and its not very long before they start attacking people.
A word of advice ~ stick with straight mace for the dog. Pepper sprays do NOT work on them!!! Cayenne pepper has no effect on the dog, and some even like the taste
Loved your pics of your goaties and Herk playing with Onxy ...and your neighbor's newest addition too!!
I couldn't look at the pictures either.
I agree on the riffle.... best thing for everyone!
We had neighbors who had a wolf/husky mix... it was mostly wolf and anytime an animal passed by it's house it would stock it..... even when it was MY dog and I was on the other end of the leash 6 feet away. Other neighbors told me she'd stalked and malled to death two neighborhood dogs this way. So why on earth did these people still have the wolf? I'll never know! Anyway, I carried mace with me on the days I felt brave enough to walk my own neighborhood. I had to use it once... the wolf charged up the drive way at us, hair on end, teeth showing. I guess 'mace in the face' isn't very pleasant. She left us alone after that. She died last year... the owners were devastated... I was so relieved!
That's totally unacceptable Daphne!! Like you, I'm relieved this 'dog' finally died. Why on earth wasn't she restrained, or put down after the attacks on the other dogs?? Sheesh, some people are SO irresponsible when it comes to their dogs, and then we end up with 'blanket bans' that just lump all the dogs (of a single breed or not) together.
Definitely a pet peeve of mine!
I do not believe a problem exist within whole breeds of dogs. Violent behavior is more likely taught or a result of one dogs experience.
There was a very good program on PBS a while back about dogs...and their breeding & the problems that have resulted from folks who breed dogs for certain qualities etc...it was an excellent program...wish I could remember the name of it. I know many have said bad things about...for example Pit Bulls...the whole lot of Pit Bulls isn't bad...I have know some sweet ones...it's the owners & breeders who want a fighting animal that is the problem!!!
