A petition is being signed here in South Africa, and all signatures are needed to see that this guy who did a horrid thing to a Husky dog gets sent to jail.

We've recently reported our neighbor for animal cruelty... though not nearly as severe as this! However, the Animal Control Warden DID tell her that we are willing to go to court! (she leaves her dogs out for hours with NO water!)
MerBear OriginalsI fully agree with all that this is a dispicable horrible crime and that this guy should be punished severely. I have rescued abused animals myself on several occasions and would not hesitate to report someone.
On the other hand though, I'm always amazed at the attention these cases get. We had a similar case of animal cruelty in our town. People would come out and jeer at the defendants every court day. They had to eventually leave town. At the same time there were murder trials and child abuse cases - and no one was there jeering or having petitions signed. Strange.

If I had my way I would cut his head off with a blunt knife and leave him to rot.

This breaks my heart. SADLY, stuff like this happens everyday all around the world. I can't believe anyone could be SOOOO very cruel to anoth living creature. Recently near my hometown, there was an animal abuse case that gained nationwide media coverage. A.K., a 7 month old German Shepherd-Rottweiler mixed breed dog had both of his ears cut off by his owner in an attempt to make him look more threatening to people. The puppy is fine now and living with a new family who are taking great care of him. The owner who abused him is facing fines and 7 counts of animal cruelty. This case has also brought lawmakers to try to toughen the sentences for people convicted of animal abuse. Hopefully, with the new laws these sick deprived individuals will no longer abuse these wonderful animals. I will indeed sign your petition and thank you SOOOO much for bringing this to all of our attention.

Jeremy, what a wicked ********** I hope he suffers when people realise what he did. I would (if possible ) kick him where it hurt most. So sad on both accounts!
