Hello Teddy Bear Friends: I collect vintage purses. I hang them on my wall with my vintage hats if I can. So this lovely purse is on e-bay from a designer that makes gorgeous jewelry. It is so unique....and sadly I can't afford it but it is eye candy to purse connoisseurs. Check it out:

What a gorgeous bag! I collect vintage purses too...I favour the 'sort of tacky' ones from the late 40's and I use them all the time. My fav is a wicker woven one with fake tortoise shell handles and 2 poodles made of felt and shells on the side (oh, and did I mention the shiny gold rickrack???)...so bad...and so good bear_grin
Thanks for sharing!

bear_shocked Wow! What an interesting purse.... Not that I'd be collecting it or anything, but a very unusual design nontheless.  Thanks for sharing it  bear_flower

Michelle,
Well I don't know why you wouldn't just snatch it up!!! What a wonderful purse~~~ My daughter collects the Lucite ones and they do get pricey as well.

Very unusual.

You know, with all of the fabulous beads & faux jewels on the market these days (I've seen most of these) I don't know why you couldn't replicate a bag like that, though it would have the beads & faceted 'gems' sewn and fastened to fabric instead of being held onto a metal frame.

And I think that the abruptness of some of the jewel 'lines' could be smoothed out and designed better when you don't have the constraints of swirling metal bars soldered together....

Granted it wouldn't be the same thing, but if it's the authentic period 'look' that you're after....!

Bobbie: What a great idea re: making one. I am not that talented though. I know Moini's work in jewelry and was stunned to see he made this purse. I hate to say it but I think he makes a better bag than Judith Lieber (sorry Judith).

Bonnie: I told my dad to just go right on in there and buy me that purse for Christmas!!! I notice it is still there. What is dad waiting for?!! Seriously though, I love the purse and at least I can admire it for a while until it goes to a lucky person....

I glad you guys liked looking too.
