We are having big storms here for the last few days. Now its hailing...
My poor birdies are sitting in a tree and the tree is going berserk. poor loves.
I wont be going to the post office today. Whats it like your way???
WOW! it's scary when trees double over in the wind. And I had the window washer around today
lightening gotta bye
We had our big storms last week and we are still recovering
Our power was off for over 30 hours
I should put in for lost production on my bears
I had just gone shopping too, and had to toss out everything in the fridge.
On the bright side, it was a good excuse not to cook
eek Wendy, the storms are probably on their way to us - we quite often get your weather. You really feel for the animals in that awful stormy weather. Our dog spends his time under our bed in a storm. I think it makes him feel really safe. I'd get under too if I could fit!!!! Hope it settles down soon for you.
Take care girls, its Windy and Rain here too.
You Aussies take care and batten down the hatches! We've had 45 inches of rain since the first of this year . . . 17 of those inches just in June. July started out with another storm yesterday. Help ................................ I'm melting!!!!
This weather is so freaky!!!!! We are still suffering heavy rains here in the UK. We had a really bad thunder storm yesterday and Christine I know what you mean, my dog held on for about 15 hours before he would go out for a wee! Obviously has a metal tank for a bladder
Take care TT'ers all around the world and hope we all get back to our 'normal' weather soon.
Big hugs Ali x
Well it looks like it is pretty extreme everywhere. I logged off real quick when the room got a bright orange flash. I hate lightening. My home is all windows. Nowhere to hide.
The weather has abated a little so I have a chance to get on the puter. But I can see some pretty threatening clouds coming over again. Our weekend is suppose tobe sunny.
This is unusual weather for Rockingham. We are or were basicly protected from the most extreme forces that nature likes to throw at us.
All the Parrots have come in for a feed now that the wind has died off. The Turtle doves never left. hehehehe
Well gotta go. Puddles to post and I have to get my next project finished to post on my Showcase page.
spotya's Wendy
The storms have been and gone where I am - plenty of the wet stuff and strong winds but no damage. Pretty scary when that wind kicks in - usually find things have taken a walk and have ended up down the bottom of the property
My daughter hates lightening too and goes into hiding
I like watching the lightening but even I jump when it falls very close to the house and it makes the whole house shake because the following thunder is so loud
Hugs Lyn
Gee Wendy, hang in there...and I guess it's on it way through to the east coast..as if we haven't had enough bad weather over the past 3 weeks, cyclonic conditions, flooding, you name it we've had it...thank goodness I live way up on top of a hill...at least I'll only get blown away not flooded out..
Sorry for all the other Aussies that have had their homes flooded and damaged, must be just awful!
Take care!
I feel for the animals too. Where do the birds even go when it gets really bad?
Where do the birds even go when it gets really bad?
They hide under my table by the back door. hahahahaThats where the Turtle doves camped out.
I think the same Tami. Where do they go when it is so horrid?
Several trees came down in the shopping centre carpark. No one harmed and it didnt cause any damamge except to themselves. Poor trees. All those years growing for naught.
Its all sunny out now and the wind has all but died away. I hope it stays nice for the rest of the week.
All the best for the rest of Aust that is caught in horiffic weather. My heart goes out to those that are flooded.

Hi Wendy
big sympathies over the storms - the bad ones are really scarey! And as for lightening...my neighbour's son-in -law actually got struck by lightening recently. Fortunately, he and another person were only knocked out cold - rushed to hospital, but suffered no real damage.....but it makes you nervous!!!!
Glad to hear you are posting off the Puddles - can't wait for mine!!!!!
huggies
Maria
It has been pretty nice here in Ohio but I think some rain is coming our way tonight, which is not a good thing for all the people who go to out Red White and Boom fire work display in down town Columbus.( July 3 rd),I have to work late, so I will miss it. I plan to do our local Gahanna fire works tomorrow night ( the 4th)
I feel for all of you having those terrible storms and flooding. It must be a frightening thing to experience.
Even though we have our own challenges in the desert, we haven't had flooding conditions since we first moved here and most of the washes have now had bridges constructed over them. And, of course, we've only had about a half of inch of rain this year so our concerns are drought conditions.
Our house is about 7 miles south of the San Adreas Fault so we often have earthquakes. And the temperatures are high right now...yesterday 118 and today and the rest of the week 119...It is hot. The cities west of us...Indian Wells through Palm Springs have a different utility provider than we do and every summer they have rolling blackouts in those cities. I'm so glad, knock on wood, that has never happened to us.
Yikes! I hope everyone is ok. We've had so many hurricanes in FL and we're the lightning capital so I know storms can be scary. Please take care.
Sunny with light wind. Thats what we have now. We are still expecting rain though. Thank goodness. Rain is so needed here. Especially inland. I really couldnt believe the lightening strike. Never before have I witnessed anything like it. A bright orange ball flash with golden sparkles around it. WOW! I can still see it in my minds eye.
Sorry Maria I forgot to email.
