These are terrific, too . . . makes me want to go there!
Salem is really cool and just gorgeous. I went there several years ago and was eating dinner in one of their fabulous seafood restaurants with a friend. We were talking when a woman entered the restaurant dressed all in black and purple - you could tell she was a Wiccan/Witch. I asked the waitress when she came back about her and she told me that her name was Laurie Cabot and just as I had suspected she was the "local witch." Quite a famous one too as I've seen several programs on witchcraft since that time and she is always featured. So next time you go back Eliza maybe you'll meet her!
How cool ! ! ! So much history. I think we're going to New England in the fall. We'll make a stop there for sure.
Cool, thanks for sharing Eliza. I still remember the episode of Bewitched where they go to Salem and meet the bed pan lol
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures Eliza ! It is os nice to see places that I may never get to visit in person. Looks like you are having a great time exploring your new hometown.
Sarah....I remember that episode....what a flashback !
Hahaha! I have a vague memory of that Bewitched episode! Haven't seen that show in years!
Lisa, I didn't meet the witch but I passed by a shop that said Salem's only local witch...that must have been her. Next time I'll go in.
Charlotte, thanks so much for the sightseeing suggestions! It all sounds wonderful to me! There's so much to do here...I'm kinda overwhelmed!

Eliza, I think that shop belongs to one of Laurie Cabots daughters...and near halloween...there can be lines blocks long, waiting to get in there. I am not sure if Laurie still is one of the judges for the childrens halloween costume contest...but she was the year we were there...talk about come very very creative costumes...there was a little boy who had a hand made dragon costume that was incredible!!! We also ran into Laurie Cabot in Boston at the Nutcracker Ballet...she is an unforgettable character...and travels with a whole entourage...
And you are most welcome...There are sooo many things to do & see in your new area...I just gave you some of my favorites:)

Cool Charlotte! That's awesome! I will have to meet that lady. And we plan on going back to Salem during the Halloween festivities. We'll probably take the train again. It's just easier than fighting traffic.
