I went out armed with my camera this morning, as so many people are facing their third or fourth week of rain (and I daresay sprouting fins by now). I wanted to get some cheerful pics of our butterfly flowers. The butterflies shun them, but they are still cheerful, and of course Mister, our outside cat was firmly convinced I'd got the camera on the wrong subject
So for all of you who are faced with yet more rain ~ I hope you enjoy
A flower in Blossom's pasture...
This is the front of our house, where I planted 'butterfly flowers'. Ironically, they look very much like the weeds I've pulled in Blossom's pasture, and they look nothing like the pretty photo on the packaging
I love this one's vibrant colours.
Guard kitty on alert!
....and clowning....
C'mon, I'm cute!!!
I admire all those gardeners who are currently submitting their ultimate best blooms for various Fairs and Shows. I honestly don't know how they can find those flawless blooms
I got your back....
....looking for attacks from above...
Our azalea in bloom
And one of my all time favorites... chicory
I hope Mister and the flowers cheer you up!
Oh how wonderful!! All our pretty flowers are soggy here!
Although our land and house aren't flooded (we're up high on a hill), the creek near us has flooded AGAIN. It STORMED this morning. And now, we are stuck in the house today.
Last year we had a drought, this year we're SOAKING!!
Thanks for the great pics... YES, they did cheer me up.
Really sorry to hear there's still so much rain and flooding. What a wierd time! Last year drought, this year floods. An even keel would be nice.
Thankyou for sharing those pics Debbie
And for those still in floods my heart goes out to you
We are in the clean up stage after our floods near where I am. It's amazing the amount of damage that can be wrought in such a short space of time, I can't imagine being faced with it week after week
