Yup, our favorite ugly bunny (did I say that! bear_laugh ) Mimzy is now in stores, accompanying the newly released DVD of her movie "The Last Mimzy", released today in the US. The plush Mimzy that comes with the DVD is about 8" tall and is NOT made by Tonner. Wal-Mart is selling this special 'boxed' set for $19.98.... my Wally World only had two left (after I was done buying mine... yup... even I have to pay full price and go get my own... wouldn't you think they'd at least send me one copy?) so if you want one HURRY UP!!! bear_grin

(I have fought the urge to rush right home and watch it to see if they were kind enough to add me to the credits this time.... don't feel like the disappointment just yet.)

Daphne, Mimzy's adorable!  I'm just curious - how come Walmart gets to produce it - did they have to pay the movie company?  Inquiring minds want to know. LOL!

OHHH when I get to San Antonio Thursday afternoon...if my son doesn't have a copy of the Mimzy movie yet, I will make sure we get one & we can all watch the movie together...and I can tell them all about being there when Mimzy was born...and the agony of that process Daphne...and I bet you my new Foster Grand Daughter will love Mimzy!!!

Heather... as long as I'm not the one making those thousands of Mimzies it doesn't phase me at all seeing them. Through the process with Tonner and the way things have turned out with New Line's empty promises I've sort of detatched myself from Mimzy. Emotionally anyway.

Brenda... New Line had the Mimzies made to sell with the DVD and WalMart agreed to sell them. I have no idea what the terms were... what Wal-Mart gets out of it... none of my business. But it was a marketing strategy born from New Line. There are to be two sizes of Mimzies, made in China of course, that are available with the movie. I only saw this one size today.

Charlotte... I'm going to PM you...

Debbie... Hubby pre-ordered me a copy through Amazon as well. For the same price at Wal Mart I got the stuffie too and got it today! Any time we pre-order it ends up shipping 2 weeks after the release date... very frustrating. I hope yours arrives sooner than that!
