I am beginning to think I must be related to Norman Wisdom..and for those who don't know who he is,  he is a very small comedian who spent most of the time falling over in his films...

About 10 weeks ago I fell down stairs...damaging my knee...my glasses and my pride. Then about 2weeks after that I opened the car boot and a huge steel stairgate fell out and landed full on my foot..and I still can't get a normal shoe on.I hope it clears up before winter!!!!  This morning I was walking in the garden talking nonchalantly on the phone when I went down a step onto the lawn and my ankle gave way....so now I am hobbling and can't move it properly. I will wait and see what happens when the swelling goes down to decide if a hospital trip is called for....

I always say it must be all the fat on me these days that stops me breaking anything...

At least this will stop me gadding about and make me do my Hugglets bears..I can't walk very far....OUCH!!!!  bear_wacko

Aww... ouch!  I too am prone to hurting myself!  I used to get injured falling out of apple trees or sled riding... now, I throw out my whole back just reaching for a dropped toy!   bear_sad

Feel better Jenny!

Oh poor you Jenny. You sound as bad as me but I have a medical problem that messes with my balance...maybe a little more taking care of yourself is what's needed. Anyway just think of all those wonderful Three O'clock Bears that you can make for Hugglets whilst you rest your poor foot.
Take care jenny!

Ooooh, Jenny . . . a few years ago, I slipped and fell in a ditch while I was taking my morning walk.  (Don't laugh at old people, folks).  Anyway, I thought I'd just sprained my ankle and treated it as such - but several days later, it didn't look much better so I went to the doc . . . and it turned out to be broken.  So do pay close attention and get it looked at if it doesn't improve pretty soon.  Sorry about your mishaps, but have a terrific show!  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower  bear_flower

Well be happy it's not a wrist or finger.  Just think what torture it would be to not be able to make bears...if that's any consolation!  Seriously, take care of yourself and all the best for a timely recovery.

I hope you get better soon, hope you don't have any more accidents.

I must admit I now have a picture of Norman Wisdom sat with both feet up in plaster sewing bears with felting needles sticking out of his hands

I'm sorry to hear you're stumbling about and especially hurting, Jenny.  I'll join you in the self-mocking laugher over clumsiness, though.  Just today, while in the shower, my leg slipped off the shower wall where I usually stick it while shaving, and I fell face first into the metal shampoo-holder-thing that hangs on the side wall, literally landing my EYE right on the corner of the darn thing.  Hurt like crazy and has left me with what looks like a wee, faint shiner and some swelling.  What a Knucklehead McSpazitron I am.  However, it might be fun to snarl, "STOP HITTING ME!" about my husband, in public, as a result.  Laughing here.

Since misery loves company, I welcome you to the world of the uncoordinated, Jenny.

HA!  Shelli, when I had my black eye, Paul was so afraid everybody at the bear show would think he'd been beating up on me.  Hope your shiner isn't as bad as that one was.  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked

I had an enormous shiner once when my son was a baby and I was tying his shoe laces....he threw his head back and clocked me right between the eyes..I had one wonderfully colourful black eye...and a swollen nose and my other eye had a faint bruise too. It was hard work explaining it to folks who gave me a knowing look and said....'REALLY!!?' I gave up in the end ..I let them think whatever they wanted to think....
