I'm sure no one noticed I was gone 
, but I just returned from a 10 day, 4400km road trip with my hubby and kids. We travelled from Nova Scotia to Quebec and spent a day touring old Quebec- gorgeous !, then drove to Niagara falls and to a theme park near Buffalo, New York -(saw some of my favorite Christian bands in incredible/loud concerts and rode some scary roller coasters & water rides for 4 days) , then made our way south to Wells Maine, and home today. Phew !
I was just so excited in Wells, Maine because I got to meet many TTer's and other sweet,kind artists at Daphne's awesome show !!!!! I met Laura Lynn(Teddies By Laura Lynn), Daphne ( Back Road Bears), Sandi ( Snowy Day Bears), Deb( Hearts Ease Bears), Ellen ( 'EM Bears), Andrea (Brewer's Bruins). What a high I am on today. It was my first bear show ever- I went as a collector, and came home with one of Laura Lynn's old style beautiful bears. Daphne was sweet enough to let me help greet the artists and set up the table for the competition bears. It was such a highlight of my vacation. I took LOTS of pictures at the show and will post them later.
Then, when I arrived home I found a package containing my beautiful Glass Ace Award and certificate that I won awhile ago.
What a whirlwind time, but such a wonderful adventure that I will never forget.
Now I need to catch up on all the posts and see how the Calgary Show went !

Hobnobbing with the bearmakers on vacation, eh? Sounds like a great way to spend time. I'm jealous. And to boot, some travelling time and an amusement park. I'd be excited, too! :)

What a fantastic recharing trip you've had with your family As much as we adore teddy bears, sometimes we need the break and I'm sure you'll come back refreshed and renewed with vigor to try new projects :hug: :hug:

glad you had a great trip! 
It was so awesome to meet Tammy in person!!! She and I took a long walk along the beach just chatting and chatting like we'd known eachother forever. Then... we forgot about this little thing called "tides" (it came in) and had to climb up some steps and go thru some back yards to get back to the ice cream shop! :crackup: We could have made it the other way... but I really didn't want wet tennies! 
I also got to see a couple of her wonderful bears in the fur! Smart girl... she brought and carried a couple with her They are even more beautiful in "bearson" than in the photos... and her photos are wonderful!
