Hi.  I was wondering if any of you ever get weird email form ebay members.

This  morning I received an email that simple went like this:

"his nose is too big.  The only thing that will not grow is his eyes."  She, or he, is referring to my most recent bear. bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko

I responded that I guess I won't have to worry about that as he is not a living thing and will not grow. bear_laugh  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko

It was not signed and the ebay member sells various time like clothing and books.

I wonder why people even bother bear_wacko  bear_wacko  bear_wacko

Judi, that is odd and rather rude.  I get odd emails from ebay - most are spoofs.  I am wondering if someone is just trying to get you to log in so they can hijack your account. It may have even been sent from a hijakced account- who knows.

You may want to go change your ebay password asap especially since you did reply.  Better to be safe than sorry.

P.S. I think your bear is incredible as always.

Thank you Tammy.  I never thought of that.  A possible hijacking.  It has happened to me before.  However I did respond from the ebay site..  Just top be safe I think I will take your advice and change my pw.  THANKS!

Thanks Ellen.  I thought it was rude too.  People may think certain things but to take the time to email a message about it.... bear_wacko .  You're so right.  Some people think they can delete their manners on the internet.

Tammy.  I changed my password.  Thanks again for the suggestion.  Ellen, I think you have the right idea...to just ignore them...but this time I could not help myself....it was strange.

Well ladies, I am having surgery in a few hours and have to go get ready right now.  We are leaving for the hospital in one hour.  Oh, and how I would just love a cuppa tea at this moment..... as is my daily morning ritual but I can't have anything to eat or drink since last night.

I am having surgery on my right should to shave off some bone that is causing an impingement on my rotator cuff.  Hopefully it won't slow me down too much. bear_flower

Surgery! Yikes, take care and speedy recovery.

As to your rude e-mail, if she's talking about your new design, Forrest, she's crazy. He's adorable. All of your creations are beyond amazing in detail and design. I can't imagine someone not liking your bear but on the very off chance she didn't care for the design, she needn't bid on it, but why write you about all the things she thinks you did "wrong"? I wonder why some people feel the need to tell an artist how to create his/her art.

    My mum just had the same surgery last week...small world! I know you will, but be sure to give yourself plenty of time to heal.  Noooooo overdoing it!  Not that your lovely family would let you  bear_wub   But don't get overanxious to use your arm for awhile.

I know they will be giving you all sorts of pain meds (and do be sure to stay ahead of the pain with them), but you can also take arnica homeopathic tablets afterwards in conjuction.  It minimizes bruising and swelling, and pain.  Arnica won't interfere with any of your meds.

And yes, I suspected much the same as Tammy, a possible hijacking attempt.  Far better safe than sorry.  Your new design is adorable!!!   bear_wub   He's perfect, and there's nothing wrong with his nose or eyes.  Silly people!  bear_wacko

Best of luck with your surgery Judi!  Thinking of you and a quick n speedy recovery bear_flower

I'd like to think the best and think that the email was from a hijacked account, but it's probably just one of "those people".  The next time you want a critique on your award winning, magazine featured, cover gracing bears you just run right back out to this one and take notes  bear_grin (sarcasm intended....heavily) bear_grin

Hope to hear from you soon and that all goes well!!

Oh Judi, I don't want to alarm you but I had shoulder surgery to remove a bone spur.  It takes about six months to recover.  You wouldn't think two tiny little quarter inch cuts would make such an impact, but the shoulder doesn't get much blood flow so it takes a LONG time to heal.  You cannot rush it either.  I am surprised your doctor didn't tell you this.   What brought me back to normal after the six months was swimming.  Acupuncture also helps tremendously.

As for the letter...that's just odd.

Hi guys.  I'm back from surgery.  My two youngest Kids are staying with my moms tonight and hubby is milking cows.  Things went well and I am typing with my left hand.  Can't feel or move my right arm right now.

Thanks for your kind words bear_wub .  My pain meds are kicking making me suddenly woozy so  I'm off to the sofa.

hugs judi

I am laughing here.  Why would anyone write that to you?  I mean, to YOU of all people.  Mum and I are trying to work out why the only thing to grow will be it's eyes.  I'm thinking she might have been smokin some wacky tabaccy LOL        Judi, don't worry about it - she's not from this planet - but thanks for the chuckle.  SOME PEOPLE!

On a side note - you'll be in my thoughts regarding your surgery.  I hope all goes well, and hope for a speedy recovery.  I'm sure you'll be fine  Let us know how it goes.

Thank you Danni for the first laugh of the day for me!   I needed that.

Thank you ladies for the well wishes.  I have my arm in a sling which holds ice water.  It feels rather soothing and my hand is free to type.   And my hubby accidentally spilled all my pain meds into the sink that my two daughters did not clean up last night after making home-made pizza.....ugh. He's felt so bad but really  it's my fault for not putting the lid on the pill bottle.  I only placed it on top.  Double ugh.  I was able to retrieve all them even if a few are mushy.  Heck they'll still work.

I also heard back from the ebay person.  She said she was an artist and was only making an observation but she really liked the rest of the bear.   Still a weird thing to do. bear_wacko

bear_wacko   I have to wonder if her bears continue to grow??   bear_laugh  bear_ermm

bear_sad  What a bummer on the pain meds!  Take the icky mushy ones first...but not if they had soap on them.  You don't want a quiffy tummy atop hurting from surgery.  I'm glad the surgery itself went well, though
