444353782_c7a7bf12dd.jpgyou have an original idea for a bear/creation only to do a search on the internet to find that it's been done before!!  I'm not sure about anyone else but this happens to me all the time.  I had a cool idea to make a cupcake bear - sitting in a little patty pan with a cherry on top of the head, did a search and found someone else is doing exactly the same thing, but in crochet.  A lot better than what I would have been able to do it. Isn't it gorgeous!!  bear_wub  bear_wub

Check these culinary delights out ... I first saw them in Teddy Bear Scene (November) and thought the concept was gorgeous!

Hi Catherine... awwww... that's sweet!  Get it, sweet!

Seriously, I think that it happens to all of us all the time, even when we are completely unaware of it!  After all, we ALL live in this same world... we are bound to ocassionally be inspired by the same things from time to time!   bear_flower

I made a mini named Mocha several years ago with a little handmade polymer coffee bean around his neck... obviously inspired ny by own supreme addiction to everything cafinated.... only to find that a major company had just come out with their own line of coffee inspired bears.  I'm sure had I "Googled" it, I would have found those bears as well as a number of artist bears going back for years who had the same inspiration.  But ya know... he was MY Mocha.  No nefarious "copying" had taken place in any direction.  We ALL love yummy things!   bear_wub

This happened to me recently but it wasn't in regards to a bear design. I'd come up with this very helpful gadget for machine sewers ... in fact it was an idea I'd been brooding over for a couple of years. I'd researched it and there wasn't anything like it. Then just this summer my invention hit the market! Only I wasn't the one who invented it!

Catherine that is so cute...BUT..instead of researching to see if one has been done...why not just do one that comes into your own head?  Then research it if you like.  This  way there is nothing  to influence you and it will genuinely come from you. I think you should make one...and make it your own.

Hey wouldn't  this be a nice challenge?  Yummy bears... bear that look edible...but aren't of course.   What do you think?
